Why not delete Conqueror and replace it with fervor of battle?

It felt bad when bruisers didn't get a keystone rune in the runes reforged. But conqueror is not going to be a long term solution for the game either. Because converting 20% (potentially 32% if you go crit) of the damage into true damage makes armor itemisation so worthless that tanks are no longer played (except mundo, who only scales of hp). So something has to change within the next few patches because I don't think players want tanks to be permanently removed from the game

And in my opinion fervor of battle was fine. Sure there were some champion that didn't synergise with fervor that well, but it was acceptable. It created way less problemes than conqueror does, while also allowing quite a few bruisers to have acceptable matchups against tanks.

Edit: I changed the number of % true dmg when stacking conqueror + crit. I remembered the number incorrectly previously.

because that would be admitting that Runes Reforged is trash, and old Masteries were better. Riot cant do that.

I liked Fervor. It actually promoted long trades. But with conq, you just walk up, auto once, combo once, walk away..

Or in Trynd's case, auto-e farm....... auto-e farm....... auto-e farm.....

Fervor is balanced, may be a little number tuning At least it needs to stack on AAing champions, not hitting minions/ getting in combat passively

It's not 40% true damage at all.

IE is 15% right now.

Conqueror makes it 80% Physical 20% True.

IE then applies to the 80%.

80 x 0.15 = 12.

20 + 12 = 32.

IE and Conqueror would make a critical strike be dealt as 68% Physical and 32% True damage.

A none critical strike would be dealt as 80% Physical 20% True damage.

I honestly can't tell why they even changed the old masteries... the new runes are just reworked masteries while removing actual runes.

I agree. At least with Fervor, it encouraged people to stay in combat and not just "hurr durr proc conqueror and you're now below 50% hp XD".

Fervor was broken on certain champs though, but the numbers are very easy to balance to make it usable, but fair for everyone.

Bc fervor was considered to be unhealthy. :^]

because on old runes we take 20% pen on runes and AD from mastery now we dont have that runes so if we just get AD other key stones should all be nerfed

best thing about fervor is that it stacked on abilities, with champs like Olaf you could use your Q to keep your 8 stacks after gaining them in a bad trade and then trade again with the stacks and PUNISH THY ENEMY

Conqueror is being changed to work like old Fervor of Battle.

Agree, and delete aery and replace it with dft as well. Actually, just go ahead and revert to last season.

Because without a melee-only modifier or at least a penalty for ranged users, marksmen would pick it up more than bruisers and use it better, and we all know how quick riot is to common sense changes lol.

Because they got rid off stacking keystones and put time/duration based. The only stacking keystone we have now is dark harvest. Guess it was too drunk to go into trash can with the rest of it's siblings.
