About the Xin buffs

I see a lot of rage about the Xin Zhao buffs, but c'mon guys you have to look at this from both angles. Xin was suffering due to Thunderlord's being created (as with a lot of other champs). He blows up much faster now as do most champs. This buff was meant to let him live longer in fights to act like his old self, but unfortunately it is aimed at the wrong part of his kit (his damage). The correct thing to have done was to increase the ult stat bonuses from 6s to 6/8/10s as well as give bonus armor and MR on his E. Let's say 3/5/7/9/11. This would have just made him slightly more durable and helped to make up for all of the damage the game has now without inflating his already decent damage.

Thunderlord's is still a major problem whether Riot, the high elo players, or the pros want to admit it. Putting a mini Luden's echo in the game was not a good idea as it inflates early game people and adds to some of the late game champs early game not even taking account that thunderlord's favor's AD innately. DFT is at least a healthy version of an item passive (item 3151 ). There is very rarely a time where you decide that DFT outweighs Thunderlord's because most fights are burst fights, not poke fights. If you burst harder in a trade you win the trade, but in poke fights DFT wins after you have built stats.

imo the other masteries have just as many things going for them as thunderlords does. especially on xin. the issue isn't that hes getting buffed, its how significant the buff ended up being. anyways I'm waiting to see the stats on his win rate.
reminds me of the skarner on pbe rework a while back plus devourer. he was way too strong. or ryze and his chain snares. they just need to make adjustments as they gather more data. It just feels like pbe isn't doing the job its supposed to do.

The thing is, it takes a long ass fight for most masteries to outweigh thunderlord's. DFT at lvl 1 can match thunder lord's with 2 abilities. But at lvl 2 the gap grows too big and then it takes 3-4 spells. And at lvl 3 it takes 4-5 spells. And it grows bigger. The only one I feel can compete with it is grasp of the undying which forces you to build HP to a go even, but if they build damage they are going to beat you unless the fight lasts more than 8s. The others ones all have their Niche, but there is almost no reason to take DFT unless you are a heavy DoT or poke based champ.

this build might be good on xin with grasp mastery: item 3091 item 3027 item 3748 item 3143 item 3065 item 3158 they'll have a tough time fighting you. might be tricky getting roa stacked though. might be overkill mana wise xin does occasionally run out of mana depending on how well you manage it. DFT might work with gunblade if it can heal off dot. even if its not great on him the other two ferocity masteries are fine.
