I've thought about buying a diamond account.

Just to prove to myself once and for all whether or not I can hang.

Cuz I have this thought in my head. I have this thought that if I could ever machete my way out of the fucking godless toxic cesspool that is silver, I'd be fine. I'd either stay low gold forever, or maybe I'd even climb into high gold or low plat.

Cuz that's all I think I am. Mid gold. Maybe high gold. MAAAYYYBE plat if I really got super serious and no-lifed this game and did all I could to improve myself every day 24/7. Then maybe plat.

But I'm not a silver player. I play with plat players regularly. I play with diamond players occasionally. Colleagues from work, old classmates from college. I have access on a regular basis to 3 plat players, 2 diamond players, and 1 master player.

They routinely tell me they have no fucking idea how I'm hardstuck silver. They routinely invite me to their games with their high elo friends, and I never feel out of place. I never feel like a detriment. And at least one of them in particular would be QUICK to tell me if I was, and I wouldn't be invited.

No, I fit right in. Do just fine. I mean I'm not smashing anyone by any means, but I pull my weight.

I got out of silver twice. Once during a regular season, and once during a pre-season. During the pre-season I almost made platinum. Got into my promo series at gold 1. Didn't make it -- but fuck.... I got into the damn series. Thats big for me.

So I know I can do it.

It just sucks to go through 200-300 games a season to get there because silver is such a clusterfuck, finally get out after the whole damn season of effort --- only to get put right back in it at the beginning of the next season's placement matches. Its just a never-ending grind. Its beyond frustrating.

I just wonder what might happen to me if I was falling down into my rank instead of having to climb up to it.

Dont you find it weird how people who boost silver accounts are able to get the accounts out of silver in 3 days tops?

If you can't get out of silver, you're the problem.

Those people are generally diamond+

Of course they’ll get out of silver easily.

I’m claiming to be 2-3 divisions higher than I typically place. Tops. I’m not saying OMGZORZ I R CHALLENJOR Y U PUT ME BRONZ

Not at all.

The difficult part for me is that I’ve gotten there. And I consistently climb through every season, albeit at a very, very slow pace. I think if you looked me up on OP.GG you’d find that my jungle win rates are 60%+ across all of my mains. But then the season ends and it puts me right back at bronze 1 or silver 4 or whatever, and I gotta do the slow, slow grind all over.

That’s my point. What if I didn’t have to approach from the bottom and grind up?

What if I came from the other side and fell down?

I just wonder if there would be a difference.

Well if you're a so called plat or diamond worthy player, again, shouldnt have a problem.

... I’m not saying that. I never said that. I said low-high gold. I said MAYBE plat if I no-life the game, which I can’t do.

I said I am a hard stuck silver1, silver 2 player who spends all season every season slowly, slowly climbing.

I said I’ve made it twice. I said I’m tired of the slow grind only to get put right back down in silver at the beginning of the next season. I said it’s an endless, infuriating cycle.

I said I wonder what might happen if I had to fall down from diamond instead of climbing up from silver.

Why is this such an inflammatory topic for you?

Why does it bother you that I wonder?

They get out of gold and plat easily, too, and diamond if they're actually higher than that.

While that might be (I don't know how to check for such information), you're overall win rate is 48% according to that website. Of course it's going to be very difficult to climb with a sub-50% win rate.

I've always had ranked anxiety and I tilt rather easily. You'll notice the lack of ranked games on my account until more recently where I decided I had enough being silver.

Prior to this I had gotten to my Silver 1 promos twice and lost so I just gave up. Now I really wanted to win and climb. So I pull out rank, average a 50-55 winrate on my offrole (which is my main role in ranked because idk?????) and I after a couple of games I make it to Silver 1.

Now, I dont know how long it'll take me to get to gold but well I hope that it'll will be soon enough if I maintain my current WR. It is extremely possible to climb out of lower elos, you just need to dedicate the time (its not even that much time) and you need to figure out what you need to do as a player in a game, even if you're losing.

For example, I went 0/2 in my latest renekton win in lane (correct me if I'm wrong) but that didn't mean that my game was over just because i lost early game as an early game champion. I managed to hold my lane and then proceeded to help my team by peeling and CCing priority targets. I would reserve summoner spells for getting onto ADCs or whatever was a threat in the enemy team.

If you can learn to adapt, even if you're playing the worst you ever have, you'll improve and increase your chances at winning. I'll give my word on that.

silver and low gold is nothing to diamond. Ill play 20 games in silver and win 19. It is not hard to climb out of. If you cant do it then you belong in silver. Your argument is that oh I always finish higher, but when new season starts I go right back down. On my smurf acc I finished plat 1 and after my placements I was plat 4. It took me 35 games to get to Plat 1 again. The problem is not the system it is you. :)
