And.. oh look. Not improved at all.

-Still can't select a single role in normal queues. -Still get anything off-meta banned by your own team if it's your intent pick. -Still can see intended picks of opponents because it's auto-selected when it's their turn to ban. -Still have people refusing to play secondary roles, because Riot fucked over Team Builder players and people wanna play what they WANT TO PLAY in a casual queue.

I mean, I know it went down because it had problems, I guess I was just kinda hoping that maybe Riot would've kept it down until they fixed the GLARINGLY OBVIOUS DESIGN PROBLEMS instead of just the technical ones. Maybe I just had unrealistically high expectations of the designers there, but hey, I guess that's the cross to bear when you still remember how this company and game used to treat its playerbase, once upon a time.

Just my opinion but the new champ select with intent picks actually helped significantly. I believe the biggest cause of losses in mid-high elo is your team picking a trash team comp. If you could see what people wanted to pick beforehand, you can change your picks.

I certainly don't think it's bad, I think it's incredibly flawed with completely ignored potential in normal queues.

Vastly superior to normal Blind Pick and Draft Pick. Vastly inferior as a replacement for Team Builder.

It's good for ranked. Bad for normals. Once upon a time Riot cared about both equally. Now apparently the only thing that matters is LC$ E$ports and fuck any casual players who want to have fun.
