How can you justify Vi's buff?

"Vi should be rewarded for having a good-early game with better ability to scrap folks (and mitigate jungle damage)."

Rek'Sai gets a nerf though, after they already gutted her base HP from a normal healthy range of 611 to 570 which is absurdly low compared to pretty much any other champion. And now this patch they took away her only ability to sustain early. But wait, they nerfed her HP by 41 to mitigate this, why are they taking away her sustain? I don't know if anybody has played her since the HP nerf, but her first clear is fucking atrocious. I used to finish over 3/4 health in a full clear, and now I can do 3 camps, HAVE to take scuttle for the health and passive regen before I can even go to the other side of the map.

Now, why the fuck would Vi, who already has a far better kit than Rek'Sai, get a buff and a gutter champion like Rek'Sai get a nerf.

Vi doesn't have sonar vision system, get a clue.

She only has armor shred, 2 gap closers and a passive shield for 10% of her health.

Then go play Vi and stop crying! If Vi was as good as you claim, how come she isn't played in LCS and Rek'Sai was practically god mode in LCS? oh that is right, because Rek'Sai has sonar vision system that is very strong in the hands of good players.

Because 99% of people don't play in the LCS. And Vi is not my play style.

Rek sai has been a dominating jungler ever since she was released and Vi has been okay/so-so since that time. Rek sai gets nerfed because she was super strong (and still is strong), vi gets minor tweaks because she hasn't been that popular.

nothing wrong with that

Vi dominated jungle in the beginning of Season 5 in Solo Queue. Vi was one of the most common bans, and with Sated being a thing now, her kit has become even stronger.

Yes well some champions were great in Season 3 and 4 that doesn't mean that they are not allowed to get buffs now. The beginning of Season 5 was a long time ago and Rek sai is strong in the CURRENT meta and the current patch and recent patches. Thus the nerfs.

That and Sated has plenty of counters and buildup for a niche effect that you sacrifice other stats for to get.

They're currently balancing around pro plays. Rek'Sai has so much utility that if she also does respectable damage, there would be no reason to pick a champ that just does dmg. Vi is a champ that just does dmg (and some CC to facilitate her dmg), her kit is amazing for soloQ but terrible for LCS. She's obviously going to perform better in soloQ than Rek'sai, who has so much power in hidden utility that is only utilized properly at the highest level of play and coordination.

As a former Vi main, I'm glad with this buff, but imo they should've just buffed Warrior instead of buffing warrior junglers individually (Lee sin now Vi).

They also buffed Kha'Zix a few patches ago. I wish they woulda buffed Warrior instead of individual champions. And I understand why she's picked so heavily in the LCS, but for solo queue it's bad. Rek'Sai was far from broken after all the nerfs, and I think the original ratio nerfs aided into why she became such a niche pick. Riot created a problem and now are hoping to nerf her into Elise obscurity since she's been so heavily picked this season. I don't understand how people aren't seeing a pattern of this.. Next season when Rek'Sai goes from 100% P/B to >5% P/B, they'll buff her so she'll be like Elise and see SOME pro play, but not every game. I think Riot needs to think through a lot of their kits for new champs, because almost all of the new champions have been extremely over powered and cannot be balanced properly because of how loaded they made the kit. Ekko's kit is stupid strong because he has gap closers/engage, slow/stun, passive damage amplifier, and a get out of jail free card. Kalista's kit is about as toxic as it could be, and when Riot themselves say they feel bad for the juggernauts so they need to buff them, this is the reason why. Rek'Sai's issues isn't her ratios, it's her kit. If they make broken champions, broken champions will continually get played..
