So when Vlad's performance doesn't rise to an appropriate level with 6.10, what will you do Riot?

Base stat buffs? More buffs to his ult? Increased W range? Increased E slow? 16->17 MS from Crimson Rush?

Or are you actually going to buckle down and try to fix all of the issues Vlad has, rather than buffing him in other areas to mitigate those issues?

** Vlad doesn't need simple number buffs. He needs QoL changes, bugfixes (at least you're getting one with 6.10), relevant impact, and realistically usable windows of power.**

Why do you guys insist on repeatedly buffing him? Do you just want to see him over-powered so you can nerf him for being overbearing?

Start worrying about how to make Vlad players feel good and confident about playing Vlad without making him over-bearing for his opponents. Buffs should be at the end of your 'troubleshooting'. Fix the actual issues first.

_Edit: Still waiting on the removal of his ult's healing. It takes far too long for it to be a reliable mechanic for Vlad. Compare to Ekko's Parallel Convergence (W). Compare to Taric's Cosmic Radiance (R). The pay-out simply is not there. You will never be able to appropriately balance his R as an offensive/delayed defensive tool. Lower the duration, the amp becomes weak. Increase the amp to compensate, he becomes way too good in tanky, wombo, or damage comps. _

_By adding a heal to Vlad's ultimate, you simply created a win-more mechanic. Any time you actually receive that ult, you either didn't need it in the first place, or it isn't enough to change anything. It does absolutely nothing for Vlad outside of siphon power away from other areas of his kit, due to power-budget. _

AP builds are not used because Q is too inconsistent. The window of power is so small that it isn't consistent enough to rely on it in an AP build.

HP builds don't have a high win-rate because E lacks impact relative to the costs (opportunity and HP).

Vlad still has issues with his base kit (non-ult) that make it unsatisfying.

Ult is still unsatisfying in general. It doesn't feel like it has any impact, even when your team lays down damage with it and the fight lasts long enough for you to actually utilize the heal.

The W cancel should not have been removed, it just should not have been forced. After E casts, allow people to cast W a second time to cancel early. ONLY after E casts. Either that or revert the change and let E be cast at any time during W, still cancelling after.

Don't you think that W proposition is overcomplicating things?

I think the changes are very healthy, giving his opponents chances to juke and dodge damage in lane, despite his main damage and sustain being an instant targeted ability.

I actually think he's incredibly powerful right now (but fairly so), despite the invisible power of his ultimate, and the often useless heal it provides. I agree with you that it's really lackluster, but I think it's only lackluster because we aren't seeing its power take effect.

I don't know why they're buffing him, but I'm looking forward to enjoying the quality of life on his W+E combo.

The W proposition does over-complicate things.

However, you have to remember how Vlad has very little room to actually make plays in his kit. Especially after the rework. Forcing him to end W early was useful at times, devastating in others.

If Vlad has the option to essentially choose when W ends, he'd have the best of both worlds, and it wouldn't be over-bearing in the slightest because he still has to deal with his lack of CC, high-end burst, and mobility after he resurfaces.

On his ult, it isn't powerful with his current kit. He can only boost Q+E once with his ult now, and he can't buy significant AP to make its damage decent. He got 2 casts off during it prior to the rework, and that damage window was enough to make a difference. I could feel the power that his ult offered prior to the rework.

The changes to it were relatively minor, outside of the heal, but that's still a problem because even the old ult would not mesh well with the current kit.

At least they got rid of E ending his pool early, so they aren't completely blind

I agree on the ult heal though, its a useless pos

I think they should have made it so you have the option to end pool early, not force it. It was useful sometimes, just not most of the time.

Just make W re-castable after E to end early.

Vlad needs more versatility in how he can make plays, considering his kit's sore lack of play-making potential.

If they keep him as telegraphed, predictable, and binary as he is now, he'll never be decent, not to mention fun.

Lol they would do nothing for 4 patches.

For example, Ekko is super overpowered currently. They tried 1 nerf on him, he's still pretty much destroying every top laner. Now they sit back for 2-3 patches, do nothing because they need time to address the situation carefully and then end up gutting the champion anyway.

You can always tweak numbers. Vlad is not even the most terrible change out there that goes to Swain. Swain's buffs in 6.10 are simply not enough to bring him above 43% winrate either. His entire kit is absolutely terrible for the damage values they have.

WoonStruck2 votes

Agreed. They gutted Swain's values with the rework.

However, they gutted Vlad's kit with the rework.

Both need changes, but the difference is that Vlad's issues are not the numbers, and Riot doesn't seem to realize this.
