Ability Power Item Concepts [Customization and Options]

Okay so these concept items are for more options and customization in your builds when playing an ability power champion, and not to be here to replace anything.

Diamond Staff: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1600g) + Blasting Wand (860g) + 540g = 3000g

Statistics: +120 Ability Power UNIQUE Passive: Dealing magic damage shreds 1%(+1% per 120 AP) magic resist which stacks up to 5 times for 6 seconds.

Seeker's Armor: Recipe: Seeker's Armguard (1200g) + Chain Vest (750g) + 750g = 2700g

Statistics: +60 Ability Power +100 Armor +UNIQUE Passive: Physical damage taken is reduced by 5%. +UNIQUE Active: Lose 50 plus 10% of your current health to reduce an additional +55% physical damage taken for 3 seconds (90 seconds cooldown).

Magus Cloak: Recipe: Negatron Cloak (850g) + Null Magic Mantle (500g) + Amplifying Tome (435g) + Amplifying Tome (435g) + 580g = 2800g

Statistics: +20 Ability Power +70 Magic Resist UNIQUE Aura: Grant +40 Ability Power to nearby ally champions. [Aura Range: 1000 units] UNIQUE Passive: Return 5% of magic damage taken before resistances back to the attacker as magic damage and apply grievous wounds for 1.5 seconds.

Silver Blade: Recipe: Blasting Wand (860g) + 540g = 1400g

Statistics: +40 Ability Power +UNIQUE Active - Magic Cut: Unleash a powerful magic slash in the target direction that widens as it travels and deals 100(+30%AP) magic damage to every enemy struck (30 seconds cooldown). [Range 1000 units]

Diamond Blade: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1600g) + Silver Blade (1400g) + 200g = 3200g

Statistics: +120 Ability Power +UNIQUE Active - Magic Cut: Unleash a powerful magic slash in the target direction that widens as it travels and deals 150(+40%AP) magic damage to every enemy struck (30 seconds cooldown). [Range 1000 units] UNIQUE Passive: Whenever a spell deals magic damage to an enemy the cooldown of Magic Cut goes down by 1 second.

Hope you appreciate the ideas! ~ Stacona

EDIT (1): Seaker's Armor: Passive physical damage reduction reduced to 5% from 15%; Active physical damage reduction increased to +55% from +45% basically make this more of a conscience decision to reduce physical damage; remember the active has a health cost

Magus Cloak: The stats gains +20 Ability Power and removed -20 Ability Power from the Aura so it grants +40 Ability Power instead of +60; the item's overall stats are unchanged with +60 Ability Power for the owner. Grievous Wounds duration lowered to 1.5 from 2.5 seconds for the passive

Silver Blade and Diamond Blade: Completely reworked and no longer are hybrid items

Diamond Staff and Seeker's Armor both look quite good and I'd be cool with them being in the game. Would Diamond staff proc off Liandry's?

Magus Cloak probably ought to have some of that AP shifted into itself rather than its passive. Otherwise, double-mage comps might become a bit too powerful. Of course, I feel that's more a failing of proper anti-AP itemization rather than anything else.

Silver/Diamond Blade: This item might well single-handedly make Teemo OP... Could you provide some reasoning for it? Actually, could you provide reasoning on all these items on what value they'd bring to the game? Diamond Staff for instance is something I'd be fine with, but why not just get Void Staff or Luden's?

Magic Damage dealt, so yes if you own the Liandry's - Spellsword mastery does magic damage too, you know 5% Ability Power on-hit mastery

Diamond Staff is a Magic resist shred just like how Black Cleaver is an armor shred--- Void Staff is cheaper and grants immediate penetration and actual penetration, while Luden's Echo is a completely different class of item and is not related to this whatsoever besides giving AP; but mainly these concepts are to open up options and customizations and not to replace any items all items should have their respective strengths

Magus Cloak I had ability power in the stats and less ap in the aura then i decided to make the item like a tank/support item where it is anti-mage but also helps your own mages out

Diamond Staff and Seekers Armor are both way too powerful and don't actually offer much in the form of game play.

For Seekers: AP mids aren't supposed to be tanky. It's like Zhonyas but with less decision making. Zhonyas is good because it allows mages to make plays but also comes with the cost of "do I want to CC myself for 2 seconds?". This item would fill the same niche (build vs. ad assassins to reduce/prevent burst) but have none of the drawbacks or decision making of zhonyas.

For Diamond Staff: I actually agree that mages need a better item for tank busting (Liandries isn't quite good enough at it's job), but probably Liandries just needs to be better at it's job rather than a second tank busting item.

Diamond Blade: That is a holy shit amount of stats and the passive is kinda weird. The dev team isn't super into hyrbid characters these days, especially when it comes to characters who build hybrid over having to make a choice between which build path to take. I don't really understand what the point of this item is? Where do you see it fitting into the game?

Liandry's Torment is for health stacking - Diamond Staff will be for magic resist stacking; both will go hand in hand as being super good item when paired together; both perform different roles but similar at the same as in "tank destroying"; but neither item would replace each other because they both fulfill different niche

All the items are for options and customization; not so much filling any role but more so granting players more choices to build items --- Diamond Blade could be good with the obvious Kayle, Jax, Akali -- but good with Malzahar and Mordekaiser as well who can actually use the attack damage--- this item overall would be a very low pick rate since it is only good an champions who can use attack damage and ability power and very cost inefficient otherwise

Seeker's Armor is basically an alternative to hourglass for more defense with buying armor rather than ability power for your seeker's armguard; i can weaken the passive and add power to the active here so that it is more an active decision defense than a passive one; apart from the stat difference

Diamond Staff offers the same kind of gameplay as Black Cleaver; zero difference besides for physical and magical damages; armor and magic resist shreds; attack damage and ability power stats
