When an AFK is in a game and the team says to report them do you have to?

Like I know you don't HAVE to, but riot already punishes AFKs with leave buster and lower priority queue. Would reporting them give them extra punishment?

I think in cases of rage quitting, yes. Obvious rage quits are the only ones I report because they are the only ones that actually need addressing. Most disconnects are because of internet problems, real life situations, or power outages. If you fail a surrender vote and someone immediately disconnects, report them. If someone is in the middle of a fight and disconnects, it is not their fault.

It won't even make a difference whether you report or not. In order to get any punishment higher than leaverbuster you would have to be reported AFK in many many games.

I saw one profile where a guy rage quit at 6 mins in every ranked game, for at least 30+ ranked games and still had his account. This same guy did the same thing in at least 50+ normal games as well.

reporting them afk doesn't make a difference I've heard....

Now if they were racist/extremely negative before they went afk, you can still report for that.
