Can we talk about how terrible some ap item buildpaths are?

Especially if you are trying to build one of these items as a last item, you will be stuck on a lot of gold to finish it. item 3089 Not only is this the most expensive item in the game, it has a terrible buildpath. It takes 1250 to get a large rod and 1265 to finish it, assuming you have all the components, which won't seeing as mages usually build this 4th or 5th. I suggest introducing a new component to ease the build path. New item: Little mage's hat Cost: item 1052 + 665 = 1100 gold +40 ap Unique passive: +10% ap New buildpath for rabadons: item 1058 + (new component) + item 1052 + 815 = 3600 gold Same stats item 3135 Takes a whopping 1365 gold to finish it, which means you won't be powerful before you finish it. I suggest introducing a new compnent to ease building it. New item: Staff of pen Cost: item 1052 + 765 = 1200 gold +20 ap Unique passive: Ignores 15% of enemy magic resist New buildpath for void staff: item 1026 + (new component) + 600 = 2650 gold Same stats item 3116 If you are trying to build this as last item you will have to sit on either a item 1026 or a basic item. Bad. I suggest making it build out of item 1011 again to ease building it for mages wanting to get hp. New build path: item 1011 + item 1058 + item 1028 + 550 = 3200 gold +600 hp +60 ap Same slow passive

item 3089 is an on/off switch for some mages' momentum. It's probably okay, for the effect it gives.

Giant's belt has probably been restricted to tankier builds as a result of people grabbing it too easily. There's also the matter of the time Rylai's became very broke.
