The skill gap is all over the map, turning Diamond+ games a shit show and making the outcome of every game 95% reliant on RNG and counter picks. This has been getting worse with each season, and at this point, it's so bad that games are just frustrating and not remotely fun.
This should have been looked into long ago. Why is nothing being done about this?

BluePolarizer5 votesyep that's true. If you don't have CC, bruisers and assassins will walk all over you. When was that not the case? In diamond you can't allow the enemy team to outpick you since the game starts in bans.

It has absolutely nothing to do with balance and everything to do with the fact that there are players who belong at Silver somehow reaching Diamond, and not just a few.

There's a difference between playing perfectly and playing like you're a drooling retard. This wasn't a problem during the first three seasons, everyone was good enough.

Considering how Riot should have learned at least a little about balancing by now I think it's more than fair to say this season is the worst yet. By comparision, balance hasn't been this bad since season 2.

^This; remember when we had the league of kat. i do cause i was a kat main then, or when Evelyn's passive reduced tower dmg by 50% and she had an almost perma invis/melee stun. Xin,s release patch. There has been so many times this game has gone down hil fast, but i doubt this is the "worst" downhill league has taken.

You can hit Diamond just by spamming games, this season. Playing well completely optional.

Z Statistic1 votesRiot might actually be pushing for Master to be the new diamond harder than last season. Every season has seen more people able to get gold and plat, so the people who are in Diamond right now might actually be people who were plat last season, which would explain the skill discrepancy between them and real diamonds. It's also a fairly slow climb. I'm 50 games in and only climbed 3 tiers. It might take another month or two to get evenly matched games at the highest rankings.

Just look at the LCS game today, CLG vs Solomid, even the casters were saying it was over from champ select with the Ashe pick and a few other champs. Basically they are saying it doesn't matter how damn good you are, you just won't win this game; and it's true, they got owned 10-0 or something.

PiVoRx1 votesWell, Diamond+ matches have turned into cancer-champ wars, who has more, wins, on top of that a single bigger mistake can cost you the game even if it was done in first 10 min of the game.
And i wont even mention that D5 is a nest of boosted accounts where, i can safely say, around half of people in this elo dont deserve it at all.
