Don't take laner's CS unless they got the kill on a succesful gank, then its okay. You probably won't have as much CS as a laner (unless they're bad at csing) so don't aim for that, rather aim for higher CS than the enemy jg while still ganking and putting pressure on the map.

Watch some jungle streamers to get an idea of ideal jungle farming paths, for example if you are blueside, red (w/ leash)>blue> gromp> baron scuttlecrab> gank mid or top.

Always watch the minimap both to figure out where you should head (best spot to gank) and to try and keep tabs on the enemy jg to either come in after him on a countergank, or if he reveals on the opposite side of the map ganking the other side w/ a gaurenteed numbers advantage. If you see the enemy jungler isn't farming his own jungle much (and your lanes don't need ganks) steal his jungle, any camp that goes over to you is XP and gold stolen, and that advantage does build up.

As a jungler, unless you snowball you will probably not have as much gold as a solo laner, but a junglers true value isn't in getting farmed up but in pressuring the enemy laners and neutral objective control, basically map pressure.

Hope that helped.

Cs a lane when

  1. your laner dies
  2. To push a lane after a gank or counter gank to deny exp to enemy
  3. your team is boosted and running around getting useless kills/deaths when you are taking objs

One trick that helps a ton is planning a path and trying to follow it. A great example would be this: my team is starting the game on the bottom-left/"blue side", I want to gank top first, thus I'd go red->blue->gromp. Farming as a jg is kinda weird as unlike laning it you can typically copy "pro routes" and get away with it, making it theoretically easier to do.
