Veigar's ult should give 5 AP on kill like it used to

Why was this removed? It was an interesting mechanic that rewarded comboing and farming.

It would feel much more rewarding and satisfying to receive an extra 5 AP on top of the Q passive on a kill with Primordial Burst

It would at least help poor a bit in this meta since games end quicker and assassins are much more prominent

He still gets ap on kill I believe.

Whenever Veigar kills an enemy champion with Baleful Strike, both bonuses are granted, allowing him to gain up to +7 AP, doubled to +14 AP if he manages to kill two enemy champions in one shot.

No I'm talking about the ultimate

Primordial Burst his ultimate apparently used to give 5 AP when it killed something

You're talking about his Q Baleful Strike

He's bringing up the passive effect on it, which I don't believe it used to have; I may be wrong, but I thought you only got AP from a kill if you finished them off with your Baleful Strike or your Ultimate.

Besides, this is the first time he's been able to get AP stacks off of assists as well. ;P

Yes you are wrong

If you look at the patch history or patch notes of Veigar's release then you will see the next patch he already had a passive 5 AP gain on kill with any of his abilities BUT they buffed his ultimate to also give another bonus 5 AP if it killed something

Sadly I also believe his Q passive was nerfed from 5 AP gain on any level to 1/2/3/4/5 AP gain on champ kill

I don't think his AP gain is his problem right now, if there is any problem right now.

That was almost when Veigar was released.

Veigar used to not have the passive of gaining AP on champion kill/assist from any source. At that time, he had to last-hit enemy champions with Baleful Strike to get kills.

Now that Veigar gains 1/2/3/4/5 AP on kill/assist from any of his damage / ally damage, he no longer need that buff on his ult.
