Hextech Bomb Belt item 3145 + item 1011 + item 3114 + 550 Gold = 3300 Gold +60 Ability Power +350 Health +50% Mana Regen. +20% Cool Down Reduction UNIQUE PASSIVE- Sap Bombs: The user heals for 9% of the damage dealt by their abilities. This is not reduced if the ability is area of effect.

Who Wants It?: High AoE Mages who also want cool down reduction. The likes of Ziggs, Xerath, Fiddlesticks, and Brand are good users of this item. Ziggs Brand Xerath Fiddlesticks Vladimir Stat Gold Efficiency: 3088G/93.14% (Passive must be worth at least 212G to be gold efficient)

The Dragon's Staff item 3114 + item 3114 + item 3113 +1200 Gold = 3150 Gold +40 Ability Power +100% Mana Regen. +20% Cool Down Reduction +9% Movement Speed UNIQUE Passive: The cool down of this item is reduced by 30 seconds whenever the user scores a kill or assist. Active- Drake Breath: The target enemy champion takes 10 (+10/20/30 per level) (+20/22.5/25% AP) magic damage and are applied Grievous Wounds for 3 seconds. The scaling for this item's damage per level and AP Ratio increases to 20 and 22.5% at Level 7 and 30 and 25% at Level 14. (60 second cool down) (650 range) Max Damage: 320 (+25% AP)

Who Wants It?: Burst mages. Burst mages would love this item as a late game item to finish their builds off, giving them an additional burst spell. However, it's lack of ability power of any meaningful amount makes it a poor early game choice for them since it would reduce their burs if they are a Burst Mage. Control Mages could also pick this up as an early game item due to it's useful stats and small amount of extra damage for them. Veigar Syndra Malzahar Swain Viktor Stat Gold Efficiency: 2325.5G/64.54% (The passive and active effects must be worth 824.5G to be gold efficient)

Fire Whelp Whistle item 3113 + item 1052 + 515 Gold = 1800 Gold +50 Ability Power +5% Movement Speed Active- Summon Whelps: Summon two dragon whelps beside you that will follow you and attack the most recent target damaged by your spells, attacking for 9 (+1.5 per level) (+4% AP) magic damage each second. The dragon whelps have 300 (+15 per level) health and no armor and magic resist. Their movement speed and attack range is equal to yours, with a minimum attack range of 300. Damage dealt to them cannot heal their attacker through life steal, spell vamp, or other healing sources. Dragon whelps will not attack epic monsters. (120 second cool down) (Leash Range: 750) Active- Whistle: While there is two dragon whelps alive or the other active is on cool down, this item can be activated to cause the dragon whelps to run back to their master and stop them from attacking for the next 2 seconds. This also heals the whelps for 25% of their max health. (7 second cool down) A max of two dragon whelps can be alive at the same time.

Flag of the Fire Whelps Fire Whelp Whistle + item 1058 + 500 Gold = 3550 Gold +110 Ability Power +5% Movement Speed Active- Summon Whelps: Summon two dragon whelps beside you that will follow you and attack the most recent target damaged by your spells (prioritizing champions), attacking for 15 (+2 per level) (+6% AP) magic damage each second. The dragon whelps have 450 (+25 per level) health and 15 armor and magic resist. Their movement speed and attack range is equal to yours, with a minimum attack range of 450. Damage dealt to them cannot heal their attacker through life steal, spell vamp, or other healing sources. (90 second cool down) (Leash Range: 750) Active- Whistle: While there is two dragon whelps alive or the other active is on cool down, this item can be activated to cause the dragon whelps to run back to their master and stop them from attacking for the next 2 seconds. This also heals the whelps for 35% of their max health. (7 second cool down) A max of two dragon whelps can be alive at the same time.

Who Wants It?: Summoner Mages would love this spell, especially if they build Hextech Gunblade for the healing. DPS Mages would also love this item due to it's great sustained damage. It can also be good to rush on some AP Junglers to quicken their clear time as well as make their clears safer since the whelps can tank the damage. However, you will need to fully upgrade to use them against epic monsters, such as Dragon. Heimerdinger Yorick Annie Cassiopeia Rumble Whelp Whistle Stat Gold Efficiency: 1285G/59.92% (The active effect of this item must be worth 515 Gold to be efficient) Flag of the Fire Whelps Stat Gold Efficiency: 2590G/62.93% (The active effect of this item must be worth 960 Gold to be efficient)

Magma Mask item 3136 + item 3751 + 550 Gold = 3250 Gold +500 Health +55 Ability Power UNIQUE Passive: +15 Magic Penetration UNIQUE Passive- Immolate: Deals 8 (+1 per level) (+6% AP) magic damage per second to nearby enemies while in combat. Active- Dramatic Eruption: Send out a wave of fire from the user, dealing 10 (+1.5 per level) magic damage every second for 3 seconds to enemies hit as well as reducing their magic resist by 6 per second. (90 second cool down) (550 range)

Who Wants It?: Melee Mages/Fighters want this. The Health and Ability Power granted are great and the passives and active make for a huge amount of sustained damage while the Melee Mage is near their enemies. Rumble Ekko Gragas Kassadin Nunu Stat Gold Efficiency: 3089.575G/94.8% (The passive and active effects of this item must be worth 160.425 Gold to be gold efficient)

I feel like Mages could you use some additional items for their arsenal that are more diverse and are really obvious picks for who would want said items. Opinions and do you have any Mage item ideas?

Thank you. I tried to think about what kind of things were missing from the game currently as well as make some fun stuff!

I updated the bottom of each item's category with it's gold efficiency. I also added some more details to some of the items' descriptions.
