Illaoi should not have been released.

Illaoi, imo, doesn't belong in League. Everything about her gameplay screams RPG boss mob. Including the "unpredictability" such encounters have in many games. League is, by and large, build up around super CLEAR combat, you know why you die, you know who did it, you know how, and you know how to avoid it another time. I think it's mostly this that has made the game by far the biggest MOBA, and it's a clear difference to other titles such as DOTA 2, that incorporate ridiculous abilities, scalings and such. But when playing, and playing against illaoi, i find that i honestly have no clue why the AI is acting as it does. Why are the enemy illaois tentacles spawning more than mine? why are they attacking when i walk past them, while super far away from her? why are mine not? where did that damage come from? there are so many questions that on most champs have super obvious answers. and sure illaoi probably has those answers, but that they are not clear and easily readable to people who have not played a lot of the champ makes her, imo unsuitable for LoL.

Why are the enemy illaois tentacles spawning more than mine?

You're a vessel.

why are they attacking when i walk past them, while super far away from her?

You're a vessel. You see that green watery tint on your screen? It means she killed your image with her E and you became a vessel. Not that complex man.

why are mine not?

Because you didn't make her a vessel, or she killed 3 of your tentacles when she was.

where did that damage come from?

The tentacles. She made tentacles and you stood still for them and they hurt.

These really aren't hard questions. You don't even have to play the champion to know the answers. It all comes down to "E makes vessels" and "tentacles hurt".

So if i get e'd once tentacles will attack me from 3000 units away? sounds legit.

If you're 3,000 units away you'll never, ever get hit by the tentacles. Even walking in a straight line is enough to dodge them, and you can kill them after they auto once. It's pretty easily done, and it's not worth walking back to your turret for.

It really isn't as big a deal as you're making it. She's strong, probably a bit too strong, but her kit isn't unfair.

Sounds more like you didn't read what any of her abilities do and are complaining due to a lack of knowledge.

yeah riot should like not release anymore new champions and like rework every champion ever made that has gameplay similar to other games. Like, totally.
