Grand Vamp Scepter Idea (primarily for BT)

First let me say i understand the need to cap lifesteal. i'm not convinced however that the build path towards BT should have gotten hit as hard as it did. I don't think that was the main culprit before the nerfs. I think the 2% lifesteal quints and BT stacks was what stood out. Vamp scepter incidently got caught in the storm, but i think its because it services too many lifesteal items and as such disproportionately effected BT. When a new item should have been added in its stead.

attached picture: for items with greater than 15% Lifesteal would apply to item 3508 and item 3072 http://i.imgur.com/9YUbDZ3.jpg for items with greater than 12% Lifesteal would apply to item 3508, item 3072 and item 3074 http://i.imgur.com/3gTeXwc.jpg added a more convenient build path for ER and gave two price points.

Reasoning/More covered in here:

i think adcs sustain right now is underwhelming unless they complete bt. i do think they should be able to sit on a mid tier lifesteal item. I think bortk is in a comparatively good place because it offers attack speed to supplement their damage, same could be said of hydra thanks to its active, they can't really rush BT and still expect to dish out damage. There's a certain attack speed to damage ratio that is ideal.

Not just that since adcs are getting IE, not only should they get IE first, they also need attack speed to supplement it. Then could they finish their BT, but even at this point in the game they might require armor pen first. Hence why you'll often see adcs just sit on a vamp scepter until third or 4th item. i feel like thats the goal of the vamp scepter too, thats what its intended for, a way to hold you over until you can get to your core. right now it barely gets the job done along with a dorans blade. And the nerf to the lifesteal quints as well.

bortk has three things going for it. -It can be completed first item, especially on vayne, kalista. -The initial 8% lifesteal is closer to its end lifesteal amount so the build path gives you a good idea of what you'll be getting once completed -and with the new recurve bow it can lifesteal off the 10 extra dmg passive during the build path.

I think creating a new "thirsty scepter" for BT would help balance it. I get BT was op and i love what they did with the new one. I just think the 8% was overkill. before you could have dps quints and 12% scepter. now you have to sacrifce 3 quints to get it. Which is not viable early game particularly since the value of lifesteal quints aren't has noticeable early as opposed to late game. I honestly think they should either revert lifesteal quints and adjust the rest of the game around that. Right now they are mostly a noob trap, you dont see pros use them. Or just do away with them like it used to be. Since the game wasn't ready for the introduction of 2% lifesteal quints especially with the old stackable BT. It might be more doable now however.

Values can vary of course, for example if you want to keep ER at about the same budget oriented price point that it currently has, it could cost 3150 at 75 DMG and 12% lifesteal. With those values it would be a closer cousin to hydra with both receiving the same dmg and sustain amount. Each have two things going for them, one offering aoe autos and active, the other CDR and mana replenishment.

I like the concept of Reaver Jr. but... I don't know about the GVC(?).

ya, its one option this is another thread i wrote on lifesteal: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/i4xybTuI-lifesteal-adjustments-slightly-less-from-wrath-elixir-and-more-accessible-elsewhere

i think that might be more agreeable to you. still keeps the current scepter. just bit less costly.

would you prefer a 15% ls with less damage ER or 10% as is or even 12% lifesteal at like 75 dmg?
