Depends on those other champions. If it's anyone with TP or some global ability (Not just global movement champs like Shen, TF, and Galio, but also champions with global-range impact such as Ashe, Soraka, and Karthus) that's not really as easy as you'd think. And depending on the two near Baron, if it's someone like Nasus alongside someone who can lock down your team for him to beat on like Leona or Thresh, or you have some other combo of champions fed enough and capable of 2v5ing you, it's incredibly dangerous to go for Baron then because you can still lose it and get wiped. And if it's both combined...
Also even if you can get Baron it might not be worth getting. Defending the inner 5 turrets (nexus and inhib turrets) is generally more important than getting a baron that the enemy team can't even take, and, in a few special cases Elder can be stronger than Baron (If you're looking at something like triple cloud and double infernal, that's a huge amount of power given with an elder, and if it's the second one, it's very possible for it to be worth more than Baron).
Generally my personal priority is first inhib over Baron. Sure Baron's strong and all, but the enemy team having an inhib down makes it easier to get another Baron anyways because now they can't 5v5 at Baron or they risk losing nexus turrets. Or, hell, if you can push fast enough and take turrets easily enough you can just end the game without needing Baron in the first place, whereas going for Baron might make that harder since the enemy team will have time to fight back.
And, of course, just having smite while they don't doesn't mean you're getting Baron. If they fight and kill your jungler, you now have no smite to take it. Or your jungler can mistime smite or accidentally click on an enemy champion, and then a fucking Ornn just walks up and donks it for the cleanest Baron steal ever.
