Tenacity needs a serious buff

If riot is wanting a tank meta that the community thinks they are going, then they seriously need to buff tenacity. Current damage is so stupid high that a tank can get bursted down in cc chains. What good is a tank that builds tenacity yet still ends up cc'd for 10 years completely unable to play the game? And if a tank can't survive more than 2 cc hits how long do you think carries last when hit by 1?

tenacity would be solid if it worked for airborne, as a lot of things have those type of effects. Idk why airborne is uneffected by tenacity. it isnt a tech limitation or anything. ornn can extend how long you are airborne for, something unique to him as a champion, so why can't we decrease airborne times?

It's either that, or perhaps make tenacity slow resist as well? Maybe get rid of boots of swiftness? Reason I say that is because no one really builds it anymore as its been nerfed just because of ADCs.

The only buff tenacity needs to to allow it to affect knock ups and suspends.

Tenacity isn't viewed by Riot as a tank stat - it's viewed as a fighter stat.

Anything less than 50% tenacity is garbage now. Lol mate try to wrap that around your head . Unless you go mercs , elixir and unflinching all at the same time you might as well go fucck yourself.. and in many cases you do because displacements cant be reduced by tenacity ... like how many old school point and click stuns do we have left in this game ... 5 ?

What you're saying makes absolutely no fucking sense.

The main counter many champions have to getting instantly killed in this damage meta is CC. So lets buff tenacity so peeling is impossible and 1 shot champions are unstoppable? Great idea.....

Part of the problem asside from a lack of tenacity is that it scales multiplicative instead of additive AND theres a hard 0.5s minimum to CC. 0.5s may not have been much back when CCs lasted like twice as long but these days its all about stacking "micro CCs". Honestly wish there was an item that reduced STACKED CC. Say it gave only like 10% tenacity but for every CC taken in the past 3 seconds that number goes up by 10 etc.

I don't think tenacity should be a primary consideration when it comes to being tanky or not.

Rather I think that tenacity belongs in a discussion about champion mobility (and CC). Tenacity is something that contributes to a champion's overall mobility and should be used to make the game feel like it has a fair playing field in terms of champion mobility.

Some very mobile champions like Ekko have been known to build tanky at times in the past. And it wouldn't make sense to pair tankiness with increased tenacity because tenacity really affects mobility.

In fact, if RIOT were to increase the tenacity of tanks for the purpose of bringing back a tank META, it would really contribute to tanks being a problem in the game because of an unfair mobility advantage. Sort of like how giving assassins an unfair advantage in terms of mobility also causes a problem in the game. Who'd a thunk?

That said, it makes sense for tanks to have tenacity when they don't have a lot of mobility (and CC), because tanks deserve a fair playing field.

Tenacity should be given as CCR items for tank users. The only item that provides tenacity and it is the boots Sometimes I feel like Riot lacks ideas about tank items because they are too busy with buffing the overpowered champions already so they can keep earning money off their "op plays" in worlds

Tank items in game are rediclous, they should provide many tank items that make the tank users feel confident building, just like how confident assassins are when building lethality, just like how confident Marksmen are when building crits or attack speed, same as how mages and supports building their normal build path to do their op damage in game. Juggernauts are doing great so far, and the only role that is a complete crap is tank because you can NEVER be a tank when everyone can melt you down. There are so many executions in the game, so much % hp damage and so much armor breaking abilities, aside from the items. It is impossible to accept being the tank of late game. It is a crap role and League is losing its rank because of the unfair situations happening right now.

The only way to counter it is to build damage items so you can be a "threat". Other than that, there are no items that give DPS. both of Sunfire and Thornmail are complete crap, their damage can be countered by Doran's blade. Yes I am serious, 3% lifesteal can own that disgusting amount of low damage from Sunfire and Thorn. It is not just that, but they need a lot more tank itemization that provides a lot of different plays. Especially vanguards, because they are the play makers they are the battle callers, they are the initiators and they are usually the "monsters" in late teamfights but they don't feel intimidating at all. Pyke is 10x more intimidating, he can never die, and as a support, he has the ability to penta your team.

Its needs to affect knockups.

All knockups needs to have a power level of 1-3

Tenacity 25+ can stop Knocups lvl 1 Tenacity 35+ cam stop knowups lvl 2 Tenacity 45+ can stop knocups lvl 3

Yasuo's Q Tornado is knockup lvl 2 Janna's Tornado is Knock lvl (per second charged) Yoricks W, J4 R ect are knockups lvl 1

Reksai's Knockup is lvl 3

J4 EQ is knockup lvl 2

Fizz R if attached is knockup lvl 3 but knockup lvl 1 if not attached

Cho's Q is knockup lvl (1/2 his stacks round up max 3)

Aatrox Q 1-2 is knockup lvl 1, Q 3 is knockup lvl 2 and all are +1 when he Ult

Al and Blitz are knockup lvl 2 and knockup lvl 3 when ability is max

Things like that

To everybody saying Tenacity should work on airborne just no, stop it.

Airborne is a displacement effect, In order for displacement effects to work properly they need to work for their duration. For instance Blitzcrank pull is a displacement, you can't have some guy with 50% tenacity only being pulled half way. Another example is Vi's ultimate is a airborne with knock away as another displacement - you can't have enemies being knocked half away and especially not primary target only being airborne (being slammed) for half duration!?

The real thing to be asking is do so many airbornes have to be airbornes when they could be stuns instead?.

Not really they just need to lower the CC from massive damage characters along with the damage and often the CD needs to increase too none of this they feel like they are doing nothing for a long time. thats called a window. One tanks still have but you can completely remove on adcs and mages cause 'it makes them more fun' any class would find having no restrictions more fun and it wins them more games.

Diminishing returns on cc would be great. Especially with how high damage is in the game. Like i said in the original post, tanks can't survive a root and stun anymore. Squishies get hit with a blitz silence and they die in that .5 sec. But tanks just get the worst of it. Once hit with a single cc then a 2nd one applied to them then they die, or their entire team is already dead because that tank is simply not allowed to peel or do anything. Add diminishing returns to CC to the game so everyone has the ability to play.
