+25% crit damage boots that cannot stack with IE

this would open up their option considerably.

or like 4.5 %crit chance and 20% crit bonus. or 9 crit chance and 15% crit bonus as they wouldn't feel obligated to get IE. mid lane would be pretty dull if mages only got Deathcap. options like the new AAstaff + ludens etc help offer alternatives.

example: item 3072 item 3508 ** (item 3078/item 3087 )** item 1001 item 3035 item 3140

bringing back the old black cleaver would be nice as well imo. since an adc wanting to build item 3071 item 3142 item 3078 but not have to of invested so much into cdr which isnt desired much

Edit not sure on the math: bonus crit marks = +2.2 per bonus as marks = 1.7% per

25% as boots = 25/1.7% =14.7 marks

14.7 times 2.2 =32 bonus crit

so said boots could likely offer 30%, or say 6% crit chance and 20% bonus crit dmg...

or create an item similar to old black cleaver like with say 25% crit on it. as an adc i'd like bit more penetration option. would like to be able to choose from either lastwhisper or say getting armor pen runes + ghostblade + item similar to old black cleaver. so two solid options to help diversity how i handle tanks.

this new item could debuff only to yourself not to allies as well.

see the mf's build. this is what adc's need. they had that extra option back then.

what would differentiate a new cleaver from current could be that it debuffs a person you do physical dmg to only to yourself. up to say 35% and could offer some crit chance.

Giving item 3140 item 3139 more options could help as well: have it so you can choose from three types

  1. item 3137
  2. item 3139
  3. maybe one that has 20% armor pen unique passive that is the same as ghostblade so they dont stack.

you could either change the name and picture icon for each variant or try this method

Lucian build could look like this: item 3137 item 3071 item 3142 item 3031 item 3508 item 3006

the 50% as from dervish helps fill the gap. and you could get crit chance marks to makeup for lack of it. with the old item 3071 preferably.

with a penetration scimitar you could build: item 3140 item 3031 item 3006 item 3153 item 3071 item 3087

its a bit like an ap building: item 3001 item 3020 item 3151

a lot of Ap champs can build liandries.

with % crit mallet: item 3022 item 3078 item 3153 item 3137 item 3158 item 3035

the main issue i can see is that classes don't need to mirror each other 100%. at the same time they'll be different in subtle ways. the pen could function differently. like the aura on abyssal in pbe. is quite different from black cleaver etc.

much like liandries and botrk fulfill same thing but in their own unique way. some flat pen would be on qss, where as ap's equivalent to qss is item 3157 which has no pen. etc

AP is ap, they typically don't need other stats like crit or as or ad or lifesteal. their deathcap only requires u to stack ap. they do have to fit cdr and mana however, although these tend to come in pairs item 3165 item 3174 and is more easily obtainable through runes and masteries.

adcs struggle trying to piece all these things together which is why they need more breathing room in this regard, hence why opening up the options for qss would help a lot.

for any ap champs with mana issues. would pair well with athenes since it gives mr can supplant mr per lvl glyphs.
