Damage May Seem a Little High, But the Real Culprit Is How Easy to Crack You Are if Immobile

Raw defensive stats just DO NOT cut it anymore. Raw offensive stats feel amazing, but if you build an equivalent amount of raw defensive stats, you won't be getting that same feeling. Simply put, if you don't have some form of way to avoid damage entirely through dashing, untargetability, or something else, you are going to die. The last time I saw someone walk out of gank has been a long time. Flash may save you if you were already pretty close to your turret and had a good bit of health left, but otherwise you are just going to die.

It's just so sad that at many points in the game it seems like champions who are just squishier live through many more situations just because they had more mobility. Relying on simple bulk is useless these days.

True.

I played vs zed on my smurf as Karthus:

(this is the zed)

I had 2 cloth armor versus his two longswords and he still 100-0 me during his ult while we were both lvl 6.

I got hit by ignite, 2 shurikens, his passive enhanced auto, and his spin2win

I didn't see a big difference between having +30 armor versus just getting a blasting wand.

Even as a Tank it's true unless the enemy team just doesn't care about you at all and builds no anti-tank. The stupidest thing is when they just build a Death's Dance or some form of sustain and they just out tank you because they are dealing so much damage that even Grievous Wounds isn't cutting it.

The only time Defensive items are effective if you are ahead.

But why would you build defensive when ahead???

Exactly. The meta right now is honestly "who can survive the most without building ANY defensive items, and still deals damage."

It's a problem Riot won't fix
