Can we talk tanky Cassiopeia?

MR and armor runes over AP and m pen, RoA and Rylai's for mp, ap, hp, and kiting. Seraph's embrace for obvious reasons. Scepter, chalice for MR, Frozen heart for armor and mana, zhonyas for ap and defense.

She has a 500% ap ratio on her E from 5 seconds of fighting and high base damage when spammed. Building her tanky allows her to get off her damage without exploding. You could even build her 100% tank and she would have higher damage than most off tanks. Building her glass canon makes it difficult to use her to her full potential because she has 0 burst damage but the best sustained damage in the game.

She can be built off tank or full tank and I believe both are better than glass cannon.

Play ryze. Tank cass - ryze

True they do perform very similar roles but I see Ryze being nerfed soon and Cass has an aoe stun for teamfights.

item 3027 , item 3116 , item 3040 , item 3001 , item 3028 /item 3174 , item 3110 , item 3157

You listed 7 items there though... what would the "final" build look like then?

The "difficulty to use her to her full potential" sounds more like a poor positioning than anything else... if you know how to play immobile APC champs in general, you should be just fine.

When it comes to building "tanky Cass" with tank items like that Frozen Heart, no, it's not worth it. Due to her passive and her E ap ratio, it is waaay more beneficial to stack as much AP as you possibly can. During late game, her E will be the burst dmg and will kill carries / squishy champs with few E spams, usually within couple of seconds.

Nope, she would pretty much suck then... since her dmg would be minimal or at least waaay less than what the opposing APC has.

As a general rule, don't stack RoA and Rylai's in the same build, or Athene's and Archangles. It's also probably not a good idea to run Athene's with Frozen heart

As far as chosing one: Rylai's is stronger vs Assassins, because rushing Giant's belt is more effective then Catalyst. It also gets stronger the less Cc your team has. And Rylai's wreck's Melee laners. Catalyst is pretty good vs Poke mages. The psuedo-sustain is much more useful when you have 5+ seconds to proc it. And Twin Fangs single handedly outscales most mages, similar to how Karthus works.

Archangle's usually better then chalice in general. Cassiopeia really wasn't designed to work with Mana regen. You're gonna be spending (50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90) 100/120/140/160/180 mana/second, whereas Athene's restores... nothing even close to that. Athene's is just a desperation move against Harsh lane Bullies. If you're not comfortable against the champion you're laning against, build Chalice > Negatrons into athene's + abyssal. Otherwise, just go Tear > Giant's belt/Catalyst.

So A typical full build would probably look something like; item 3003 + item 3116/item 3027 + item 3001/item 3110/item 3157/item 3102/item 3065 depending on the enemy team. Spirit Visage won't be as good after her heal gets nerfed, though.

Um it's called itemizing? You choose 6 of the many viable items depending on enemy team comp.

It could work, but imo the most deadly Cassiopeia is a glass cannon that is very guarded by her team, give her the peel and picks, and she will just melt everyone.
