The Last 2 Shyvana "Buffs" were meaningless and contributed nothing

There has yet to be a good explanation from Riot as to why they thought buffing her AP ratios and decreasing an already small cooldown on her ultimate would be an acceptable exchange for the gutting of twin bites during the devourer era. You would think she would be buffed more than ever because BOTRK is weaker than it has been in the past but instead the opposite is true. Since it's clear she is this year's Sejuani, I can only hope that next year doesn't bring the introduction of a new jungle item that ends up giving a champion I enjoy playing 2 months of permabans followed by 12 months of having a gutted kit.

I can still make Shyv work.... but man is it painful. Like can they at least kinda buff Twin Bite?

She is still solid in the jungle. There are several champs in worse spots than shyv.

we want a stacking jungle item. riot:we want to promote jungle diversity,then lets remove devourer so that tf becomes a more viable jungler than jax and xin zhao how can they kill junglers that have been around since season 1 SHAME.....

Riot has tried too many times to make a stacking jungling item work. The new version of essentially madreds blood razor is far healthier.

You don't know what a gutting means if you think her Q got gutted. Who cares if the AD ratio is lower at early ranks; Shyvana doesn't build AD anyway; the skill is all about the double on hit and auto reset, not the AD ratio.

Plus the on hit item that works best for her is Botrk which is weaker now than it ever has been. Guinsoos is not great on her and wits end is kind of a goofy choice as well. The damage component of her q is one of the few things that let her trade decently in top lane and actually get in a strong hit or 2 with ganks.

I could just be doing it wrong, but I've seen a fair number of people build at least a moderate amount of AD on her. BotRK, Titanic Hydra, and Triforce all seem to be fairly popular on Shyvana and all grant AD.

Yes. they do. But 40% of your total AD on your Q is so little damage compared to what you're doing from all your other damage sources that you won't even miss it. And you still get that AD ratio back later on anyway. All that Q nerf did was make Shyvana's early game very slightly weaker, and I mean very, very slightly. I've played a ton of Shyvana and I could barely even feel that change; I have no idea why people complain about it so much.

For me the reason it bothers me is that I'm used to it doing more damage to minions, so if I ever try to last hit with it I keep doing not quite enough damage to kill it and missing CS because of it. Though that's more a matter of playing her more often and getting used to new values, it's still annoying, at least to me. I wouldn't exactly consider it a gutting though, you're right on that.

No melee champion can afford rageblade anymore hence why you don't see it being built at all. Hell the only champs who still build it are a couple ranged ones that abuse it incredibly hard KogMaw Kayle

Not the best wording on my part, I guess it was abused heavier before the rework as it gave AOE damage on top of Kayle's AOE autoattacks which stacked for obscene amounts of damage but at least back then you had other champions building it too. Right now she is one of very few champions who builds it so buffing a melee jungler in a way that supposedly helps synergy with a niche item she has never bought in her history of existence just seems idiotic.

I've had succes with tank vayne with rageblade, get rageblade and blade of the ruined king and rest tank items and man do you still dish out allot of damage once you get those 6 stacks on rageblade,

Guinsoo's exists. That is the answer.

To a lesser extent, Gunblade, Banner of Command, and Ohmwrecker also exist.

Except that if Riot actually plays their game (and I give them the benefit of the doubt that they do), they would know that Guinsoos Rageblade on Shyvana is a bait item because it offers nothing in terms of survivability, which is what Shyvana needs to perform.

It is too expensive for a jungle build
It doesn't provide any stats Shyvana really needs to be effective, other than attack speed.
The passive and attack speed are really the only thing she could use, but it has 3.5k+ price tag attached to it.

Yeah, Sejuani it's almost like Gragas Riot nerfs champions Nunu because of items Kindred specifically in the jungle MasterYi and never XinZhao reverts the nerfs Fizz even if the item gets changed Elise .
