Knowing how to play against a champion does not mean that this champion is balanced
Oftentimes I try to argue with someone that we should have more than 3 bans because currently there are too many unbalanced champions and there are simply not enough bans to cover all of them.
Then the other people say that I need to "stop crying and just learn how to play instead of banning those champions"
I am here to remind that just because you can know how to play against a certain champion, that does not mean this champion is balanced.
I am going to give an example: Zed.
I already know that to counter Zed, I must play safe, build Zhonya if I am using an AP champion, or QSS if I am using an AD champion. And that I should avoid trying to 1x1 Zed, or that I should try to harass him when he is low on energy.
This does not mean that Zed can't be unbalanced, especially now that
has been introduced. It is important to note that it takes a while to buy a Zhonya and that if I want to rush it I will sacrifice an opportunity to buy an item that would otherwise be a better choice, such as a mana regeneration item. QSS doesn't take as much time to buy, but it is inneficient for AP champions, and does not even reduce his damage because it is a magic resistance item.
So, while I know how to play against Zed, that does not mean I will win against him 100% of time. Especially since Zed himself will know how to play against my champion.
So stop using "learn how to play against" as an argument to say that a champion is balanced, or that I shouldn't ban a certain champion, or that we shouldn't have more bans.
