support is the only role you can do good in [Large explanation as to why]
-where nobody will question what you are building as long as its a support champion and you have sightstone -where people will follow up on your plays -where people will help you capitalize on objectives -where people will help you maintain vision (for example jungler tries clearing your ward and someone from your team will come help)
When im playing mid and have been shitting on my lane hard and trying to get the 400g turret? I have my teammates bitching about not following my lane.
When im playing top and have the jungler and enemy top laner fighting me so they can get easy turrets or dragon? apparently thats just me not warding and getting caught out and they don't have the time to capitilize.
When im playing ADC and i do good? i have to do what the team wants to do because they won't follow me and think they can just play around me.
You want to know why being successful as support is so easy? at least from the way I see it.
A vast majority of this community has not played enough support to give their shitty opinions on how you are playing support.
Here is an example
Lets say you main fizz
these are normally the first two items you build on fizz just because everybody builds it
however you have played fizz for a long time now and find
to be more of a comfortable item for you. why? because you can slow people just by auto attacking, you can take just a little more hits than you normally would because of the health and gives you alot of AP.
Now imagine you're playing in the mid lane, you are doing well 10-5-0 decent amount of cs game could be going better but your top lane and jungle aren't doing so well. You guys fight 5v5 and lose the fight. When suddenly your top lane and jungle start blaming everything going wrong in this match on your build.
your top lane who is 0-7-1 and the jungler who is 2-6-3 have been constantly trashing your build for the team's poor performance but not their own.
^stuff like that happens way to often, people who have tried the character or just see people constantly do well with a build offering their very miniscule opinion on what you should be doing.
Engagement options limited?
a special case. She plays more like a tank than a traditional support. I'm thinking
,
and the like.
