How do you actually play a champion on release?

There's a certain point where you don't want to play customs anymore and want to get actual experience. The stupid 7,800 price in the first week does nothing and if my friends aren't on, I literally cannot play new champions for a week anyway, so what's the point of the premium price? In pvp what do you do; try to snipe Kindred? Then somebody calls JG. Call your role? Then Kindred is sniped, they lock in and don't give a fuck. Same thing happens even in bots (especially in bots).

I've been in team builder queue for 40 minutes as of this post

I don't play Draft or Ranked, I wonder what shit you guys putup with? I agree that the new champs should be disabled in Ranked.

Team Builder. It's designed for a few reasons. 1) You always get to play the champion you want in the lane you want. 2) Helps you learn a champion because when your mastery with said champion is low, you get put up against people who are in the same boat for the most part. Sure, the queue time is something like an hour, but if you wanna play Kindred that badly, just wait it out.

The other option is to just wait until the hype goes away and then start playing Kindred.

Which sucks if you bought them with the skin bundle.

The only way to play a new champion is to play your first game with them in ranked before people remember that it's patch day. /s
