I found my new favourite playstyle

Be mid or top, pick an enchanter support, preferably one who can heal - this is important, the bigger the "healer"-stigma the better.

Build full AP.

Wait until someone on the enemy team start tilting because "HOW CAN YOU LOSE AGAINST SORAKA/SONA?!?!?!" in all chat.

Ask your team nicely to focus now all attention on that guy as he is the best tilt-candidate.

If that doesnt happen ask your jungler to camp your lane to tilt at least your lane enemy.

Gather gold until teamfights, and then either make your team immortal (Soraka) and lower all enemy morale by deciding teamfights with a well timed Full-AP-Ult, or when you play Sona, do the pling-pling-TSHONK and watch the squishies on the enemy teams explode.

I might not have learned much since I rose from the darkest dephts of Bronze 5 countless years ago, but who needs skill when you can just watch the enemy team self-destruct into a cloud of toxic salts? But that healer supports out of all champions were the key to that... truly fascinating.

I dont think a lot of people realize this but... ... Purposefully tilting someone is toxic behavior and if proven is ban worthy.

"psychology wins games" - but what you describe is not naming a singed one trick "ruined your game", playing yasuo and not committing, or playing mind-games with shaco. What you describe has a word. Harassment. Even if it wins, it ruins the game for people and WILL become a huge problem if it ever becomes a common thing.

Hey I never talk to them. I never flame them.

All I do is that i tell my team to focus on a single person to gank and kill. Is that wrong? :P

Mizuki Zahra1 votes

do it over voice chat so no paper trail

Yes it is still wrong.

Yes, judging from the reasoning behind your decisions it is wrong. You state here that it is for the purpose of 'making the team self-destruct in a cloud of toxic salts' and because 'it is funny to make the enemy do that.'

Playing to tilt others is a really crappy reason to use any strategy.

It might be hard to prove as harassment, but it's still focused on ruining games for people.

By that logic teemo mains should be banned js

HalcyonDweller2 votes

Depends why they play teemo and how they behave in game when they do.

If they taunt and mock enemies every time the enemy gets poked out of lane or steps on a mushroom then I think reports would be fair.

If they just play teemo because they think his kit is fun, I don't see any reason to report it.

Warlord Scrap1 votes

Teemos whole kit is about tilting your opponet it all has clear counterplay but its about the tilt factor

HalcyonDweller1 votes

I mean, I hate teemo as much as the next guy. But I'm not here to start a circle-jerk over a champion I dislike.

I'm just here to weigh in on the discussion of toxic motivations for grey-area strategies/behaviors in game.

Warlord Scrap1 votes

Im not starting a circle jerk im stating that tilting your lane opponet is a valid strategy theyve even made champions that capitilize on that strategy.

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Please forgive me I did not mean to imply you were starting a circle-jerk. Simply meant to move the discussion back on topic of the behavior and motivations rather than the champions picked.

So when the enemy jungler camps my lane and makes me mad, can I report him and get him banned then? I mean, he also ruined my game, no?

HalcyonDweller2 votes

Depends why they camped your lane. If they were trying to help their teammate to snowball that's one thing. If they were saying, 'hey guys the enemy Sona is tilting in chat! Haha that's so funny lets gank her again," then it ought to be reportable.

EDIT: I only said it was a crappy reason to do something, and is very close to harassment. Didn't advocate reports.

SaltyToplaneGoat1 votes

Well, officially one is just a side effect of the other no? Let's say I'm a jungler. As a jungler I want my ganks to have the best effects, and when I have the choice between a) give one lane a small advantage and b) make the enemy team flame each other with one potentially going afk,

Which one of the two has higher impact on me winning the game? A gold lead or an enemy player leaving due to their own short temper and bad mindset? I mean, the answer is kinda obvious

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Like I said before, the motivations matter.

If you're doing it because it makes it easier to win, it's strategic.

If you're doing it for your own enjoyment then you are a terrible person.

SaltyToplaneGoat1 votes

What if I do it out of both motivations then?

HalcyonDweller1 votes

{quoted}

What if I do it out of both motivations then?

Then you are being both strategic and a terrible person.

Dude, if you want to inflate your win ratio by beating opponents that are playing poorly instead of beating them with actual skill, be my guest. It's plain unsportsmanlike, and a cop-out in my opinion.

Warlord Scrap1 votes

Tilting you opponet while not flaming them is a valid strategy though. They even talk about it during lcs matches

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Yes, but I did state a difference between doing it for strategy and doing it out of sadistic enjoyment.

Valid strategy or not, it's unsportsmanlike -- more-so when it is done for sadistic reasons.

I was there during the days of Soraka top. I spent the entire game hugging tower because of the old Starcall.

Mizuki Zahra1 votes

I mained soraka top against nasus cause she countered his q with heal on minions

SaltyToplaneGoat1 votes

You can still play her top tho, just gotta be careful and adjust your expectations (you wont get 3 kills or something like that). Always just farm and poke, and keep eye open for when to ult. Wait until you poke them down to 300 hp then try to go for the kill - they always stay low in lane because they tink I'm weak, but... well, I'm not ^^

TheJakeinator1 votes

If you pick an enchanter top that isn't Karma against anyone even relatively good you are getting clapped

Mizuki Zahra1 votes

lol heimer lost to a soraka mid and he was tilting but then 3 of us ganked him...she got a triple so we accepted our defeat post game alllllll the honors cause that's pretty cool

OtterlyLost1 votes

Actually, I used to do this with Nami. She's super annoying to deal with for most top laners because they're melee and her heals are pretty free, easy trades.
