Can the boards stop basing Rylais future on Morde?

I get it. Malicious, Worst Morde, etc are part of the boards cool kids circle. And as a result all the Morde players have come out of hiding. And I understand Mord depends on Rylais.

But can we start treating them separately? Can you all start pitching other solutions to Riot for MORDE and not Rylais. Maybe a buff giving him a slow in kit. Maybe a speed boost. Idk. I don't play him that much since rework. But basing an items future on your champion is like basing the future on you "challenged" kid. Don't want to be rude with that analogy but if all humans based their abilities off the less capable we wouldn't progress. It sucks Morde has no cc or mobility. But a lot of players claimed that was part of his identity. So instead of forcing an item to be part of his identity why don't you fix his identity instead? Or suggest he have a unique item to himself like Victor? Anything t allow Rylais to be fixed and hold Morde in a stable stat till his rework in 2020
