Why does Triumph even give bonus gold?
I know the gold it gives is nerfed on the PBE, but why does it even give gold at all?
It feels tacked on and really win-more. We got by just fine when Dangerous Game didn't give us extra gold.

I just want them to disable triump mastery on ARAM, it makes the snowballing even worse...
I wan't them to disable it because you're deliberately gimping yourself if you don't take it so you always HAVE to pick Precision as your first or second tree.
I think it was supposed to help people who end up getting a bunch of assists but no kills. That can really set certain champions behind, and so I think the idea was to help those champions out.
That's not what ended up happening, but this is what I came up with when I thought about it.
Same could be said for Coup de Grace. It is no wonder these two runes are Precision's problem children - just look at what they give compared to their compatriots.

I didn't even notice Coup de Grace had an extra effect tacked onto it.
I also don't understand why it gives a staggering 9% bonus damage when the mastery it replaced only gave 3%. I mean, I understand it's because of out of control damage creep, but...
Why the numbers are generally a bit higher: Runes and Masteries being folded into one system allows for an increased power budget on the unique choices.
9% is still quite a bit too high, especially for such a relatively unconditional bonus.
Yeah I use Triumph almost every game and I still don't know why it gives gold.
because rito wants to snowbally games
Every tree has a boat load of stats granted. It's not just Precision.
You need to understand that these new runes only look over powered and overloaded because they're not split into two categories of runes + masteries.

I can accept that, but it still doesn't explain why Triumph and Coup de Grace have seemingly tacked-on bonuses when they're already perfectly good runes, or why Press the Attack's damage amp is party-wide and not just for the guy who applied it.

Press the Attack is more reasonable, so I'll explain that: As of right now, attack speed champions will either pick between Lethal Tempo and Press the Attack. We see Press the Attack more often, because Lethal Tempo, while just as strong (and arguably stronger), is less RELIABLE-- you get it after a specific time, and you really need items to scale with it. While behind, however, Press the Attack gives your TEAMMATES the boost, making it more useful when behind. Basically, it's so that it's more reliable than the snowball-oriented option.
