Vision score, objectives, and cs. Obviously different metrics for different positions and champions.
And which of those would reward someone for sacrificing themselves so that their team can get away? You're not getting vision score while dead. You're not helping take any objectives while dead. And you're not getting any cs while dead.
Yet sometimes sacrificing yourself is a better choice for the team.
I'm fine with individual rewards when the rewards are ultimately meaningless and so wont influence a players actions in the game. Because then it can afford to be inaccurate. And that's what we have currently. The grade system that you're presented at the end of every game. You can still get an 'S' despite being on the losing team. But that system is far from accurate at judging how well you did given the circumstance.
But when you're suggesting rewards that are meaningful then you're going to get people that change what they do to get these rewards instead of taking action for the benefit of the team. It MUST be accurate to avoid that. Just like detecting intentional feeders, that's far more easier said than done because of all the little things that contribute to the result of the game.
