Everytime a new rework rolls out, I think of Karma's rework
Ranging from gameplay to splash arts. Even if the balance team tells us that Karma may potentially be looked at when utility casters are being tackled, it does not make me feel any better.
What do the newer reworked champions have?
- Awesome visuals
- Great models
- Fitting voiceovers
- New/Interesting skillshot indicator
- More or less something thematic that's being kept (Poppy's E & Hammer, Taric's Q & Fabulousity, what happened to Karma? Mantra E gone, fans gone, personality changed, nothing remained)
- Detailed animations
Meanwhile, Karma on the other hand. Even on the end of splash arts, she received short term-changes ie: having her eyes changed to green glows . All these while when doing the global unification, it seems that the visual team didn't think that working on her art (n) patches ago would be beneficial, instead relying on doing short term art changes and then telling us she's in the middle of the priority list, which is probably next year then.
How every time the team tells us she's not high on the (any, in fact) list is beyond my understanding. Having a half-assed rework doesn't make their mistake any lighter, so you can't go around justifying "At least Karma was reworked" and leave it there. A half-assed rework is better off not being delivered then. If today we had other half-assed reworked champions delivered today, everyone else would have felt the same way. Being half-reworked doesn't mean the designers deserve less shit for doing a bad job.
What more it's been 3 full years since Karma's failed rework was given a chance redeem itself, time after time only more people come out complaining that some changes were unnecessary.
