Trying to play the game as Lux against a Yasuo.

Can we gut this bullshit yet? This is beyond fucking stupid. Counters so hard that Silver players can shut down Diamond players with no counter play should not exist.

You're right, there's counterplay to having your entire kit Windwalled. There's even more counterplay to your wave clear being made useless, limiting you to 2 CS per wave.

But you'd know that if you weren't bad.

Windwall has no cast time. I throw my E, he presses W after I press E, my E is eaten. There's no baiting it out. Now that E is down, he proceeds to clear the wave and leave, and I lose a large portion of CS to the tower.

Alternatively, he lets me use E, and I can't finish off the low health minions because he'll engage on me with Windwall if I leave my tower. If I try to use a second E to finish the wave off, he Windwalls that and most of the wave is now going to be taken by the tower.

You have no idea how to play this game.

Then his windwall only countered your E. Slide to one side, Q and Ult. Half Health Yasuo. He tries to chase you, W shield and retreat to tower. He has no way to reach you if all of the minions are under your tower.

There are so many ways to counter what Yasuo does. The next time you attempt to flame someone for having "no idea how to play this game", perhaps you should do some study of your own. Not every champion is going to let you faceroll them. This game, much like life, doesn't work the way YOU want it to or think it should. It is up to you to find solutions for yourself.

I know exactly what it does. It doesn't create an invulnerable barrier that completely surrounds him. It goes down after a couple of seconds. Patience is a virtue. Clearly something you have none of.

ACTIVE: Yasuo dashes a fixed distance in the direction of the target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them briefly. The speed of the dash scales with Yasuo's bonus movement speed.

He can't dash if you aren't there. He can't dash if your minions aren't there.

Why are you trying to 1v1 a slayer with a mage? Of course he's going to pound you. It's what Yasuo does. That's why you bait out his abilities, keep him clear of ways to initiate, and be patient for the Yasuo player to make a mistake you can exploit. Pot calls the kettle black.

yeah, it's called walk around his windwall, bait it out, or don't blow all of your CDs on it.

also if you can't CS without abilities, you need practice.

Except he wasn't a silver but a gold 1 who was mid platinum before reset. It still stands that yasuo is a stupid champion tho

Edit: not to mention being diamond in season 4 doesn't make you a diamond level player now.

Ask for a gank, bait out his windwall, idk you're diamond. Figure it out. This is a team game not a 1v1 game. I can beat Yasuo with a Lux and i'm silver 5 last season.

Even if he somehow blows Windwall on nothing, he only has to press E to move out of range of your entire kit.

Fight him when there are no minions, fight him in the jungle, ask for a gank. Why am I giving you advise? You're diamond, you're like supposed to demolish silver players on any champion. Even then, ask your teammates for help, Faker didn't win worlds by 1v5ing SSG or any team in particular, his team stepped up and won the championship.

He clears faster than I do, because my entire wave clear is negated. There is no scenario where there are no minions and he's still in the lane. Same applies for the jungle. He can windwall my entire kit and I can't escape him. It's a guaranteed death.

This is the exact problem; no matter the skill level, Yasuo hard counters so many champions with zero potential for outplaying him.

I mean if you still don't consider anything else I ask you than why pick Lux vsing a Yasuo ? Even if he picks Yasuo after you, you should've taken a counter pick into consideration before hand. Ban him, pick a Yasuo counter. If you are the last 3 people on a ranked game with a ban in your pocket, ban someone who would counter your champion. Yasuo doesn't delete people in 3 hits 5 minutes into the game, if you keep dying to him ask for a gank, or learn from your mistakes. Baiting out his windwall while he has no minions to dash to means you can easily kill him.

Man, when yasuo was released I was a lux main, and I completely feel your pain, and my solution was ultimately to move to bot lane.

That said, people better than I have insisted that lux is actually a counter to yas, as he can't trade with you without getting nailed by a q if you position correctly, or he'll get whittled down by e's depending on what he chooses to windwall.

Yas is frustrating, but frustrating to counterplay is not the same as counterplay not existing.
