Why people still ban Darius?

Seriously, there are much better champions to ban nowadays. Not only the last nerfs put him on line with other champions, but the recent AD itemization changes also made him more balanced.

With the fact that ADCs became more popular and powerful, Darius fell of as a dominant force, due to the fact that he is easy to kite and peel off an carry. Also, he doesn't bring the same teamfighting potential that bruisers or tanks like Mundo or Malphite have. Those two are much better at dealing with ADCs.

Oh, and Darius is also crippled by since he actually has sustain now (the heal on his Q).

Darius is, according to champion.gg, the second most banned champion. On my opinion he doesn't deserve that, there are much better bans currently. Jax, Yasuo, Irelia, Graves, Kayle, and even Master Yi. They either aren't banned at all, or they are banned, but not nearly as much as Darius. They are currently quite broken at the moment due to Guinsoo's Rageblade - except in Graves' case, he is very powerful due to his immense burst damage; and Yasuo, due to his synergy with Warlord's Bloodlust and his strong early game potential.

Even Lee Sin deserves a ban much more on my opinion. Because he can actually make game changing plays, he is quite mobile and can make a team that would otherwise lose, win and snowball hard.

I don't know why everyone fears Darius so much, to be honest. Everytime I am the first pick, I don't even bother banning him. Then, someone starts whining that I left Darius open, and then I laugh and say that I don't fear Darius at all. Then I go top, and I lock one of those champions then I crush Darius and prove to my team that they were wrong. Darius is quite easy to counter with a ranged champion, or Yorick (because he can outsustain Darius and kite him). When Darius is open, people usually leave me top lane because I say that I don't fear Darius. People just don't want to face him.
