Does Trundle's Q prioritize base or bonus AD?

Title.

Was just wondering when Trundle Q's you if the stolen AD is taken from your base AD or bonus AD (when applicable)? Was just curious because taking base AD would be better against Triforce users while bonus AD would be better against champs with bonus AD ratios.

Pretty sure it starts with Bonus and then afterwards it'll dip into your base AD out of necessity.

E.g. you have 110 AD, 10 is bonus AD and the rest is base. Trundle bites you with Q, stealing 20 AD. You now have 90 AD, but you lost the 10 bonus AD and 10 base AD because it just subtracts it off the top.

This is what makes him good at dueling AD diver types with good bonus AD ratios, while anyone who has a trinity force already has enough bonus AD from that item that the debuff won't touch their base AD unless stacked with something like Tryndamere's W.

all ad debuff in the game do not work on base ad

According to the wiki, all AD debuffs will never affect base AD.

Naturally then one can assume that all AD debuffs only debuff bonus AD.

That's a bit odd. So when Trundle Q's you at level one and you have no bonus AD built........ How does that work?

I believe that it can dip into your base AD, but there is a hard cap of how low your AD can go. Vandiril did a vid about it iirc

I'm pretty sure this is the correct answer as I remember that too.

Negative bonus AD.

you cannot get negative bonus or base ad

He gains bonus AD equal to whatever his Q is supposed to steal regardless of whether he actually steals it and then lowers the enemy bonus AD by the same amount.

The buff and debuff are separate effects. It’s not a legitimate “stat-steal” ability.

If I remember correctly, the very only legitimate "stat-stealing" ability in the game is Malphites Q stealing movement speed.

As someone that plays trundle a few times (main toplaner here), his Q "steals" bonus ad from your target only. Base ad is not affected by the debuff as others have stated it (it will reduce it, but your basic hits will still hit the same), I'm just here to confirm it.

So an AA will do the same but a Sheen proc will still do less?

So what happens if you have no bonus AD but have a sheen. Will the sheen do damage based on the temporarily reduced AD or will it do damage based on what you base AD was before reduction?
