A semi-regular reminder that...
has gone over 4 years with what is one of if not (imho) the worst designed passive in the game:
- No personal agency
- Feast or Famine
- MASSIVE stats locked into jungle - No benefit in closing games - No benefit when defending/taking towers base
- Grants ANYONE (Allies AND enemies) Gold and vision
- Can still be seen being taken in fog of war
- Not useful if you want to play lane (the benefit of procing E is not really noticable til mid game at least)
All of these drawbacks, and Skarner isn't even allowed to be the #1 killer when he has them and is fighting in them.
There are so many ways to fix Skarner's problems, and many (including myself) have been making suggestions. Reworks and reverts of WIDELY varying degrees. And several years ago, I was told in my spires mega thread that he was being considered for a small "Xin Zhao level" gameplay update, but that apparently never got explored or was iceboxed.

This one just makes the spires more of a boon than a full on anchor for Skarner. Allows controlled spires to still exist and give the ONE benefit they truely give which is map movement, while also slightly enhancing his early ganks.
This one was put together by myself and several members of the "Skarner mains" discord, complete with google doc and images of the in game tooltip. My favorite parts of this are the Q (crystal slash) using the Assassin rework rengar animation (swim-gar) to execute a quick claw attack followed by a tail stab with the stacking attack/movment speed and bonus damage at max stacks, and the new E effect and Ult interaction.
Almost every other failed "class update" has been reverted/changed, but remains in his current sad state. Please Riot, tell me you have SOMETHING in store for Skarner, soon. You can obviously use anything we share on these boards or on reddit. Im personally just tired of feeling ignored.
