In low elo you need to make terrible plays to win.

You can't just farm, or even just farm and kill your lane. You can't just shove in and roam. You have to mechanically out class everyone around you and demonstrate it over and over. Especially in normals. I'm learning this the hard way on my smurf and god is it miserable. Good calls on baron and towers will often cost you a fight because your team is bad. All kinds of good calls and vision do nothing in low elo.

The obvious perspective of a solo carry mentality, in a team based game.

I'm on, and have coached multiple 5s teams. I assure you that the mentality of a team game which works there does not work at bronze, silver, or gold.

Can confirm. Is why I play tanks. I hold the leash of the enemy whilst the hungry dogs of my team rip them apart.

Is good plan to make use of teammates' bloodlust. More productive that way.

It isn't exactly hard to mechanically outplay a Bronze player if you are Silver+.

Anyways, you generally have to adapt to whatever ELO you are currently in. When I was in Silver last season, I mostly played Varus and Ziggs since everyone would constantly group around objectives (letting me poke them down while I wavecleared endlessly) and (dis)engage fights.
