Why do people hate Kata all of the sudden?

I remember her being one of those laughable noob stomp champs last season. I mean it still is the same this season, but most people for some reason don't know just how to CC her and focus her down then continue the fight.

Sure she has one of the biggest penta potentials, but that's because everyone wants to bring people with no CC mid or not call mia's when she roams and wonders how she got fed.

I'm still not even sure what to make of Fizz and Akali after the changes. Akali takes a bit more skill now at least. Fizz is just a bit weird but still can be just as annoying while taking a lot more skill. Zed in my opinion isn't that big of a problem, Riot just needs to buff mana regen (I am saying this for the 100th time) so people can actually harass him out of lane without being on target or hyper sustain champs.

I think there is no problem with Katarina. She has decent amount of counter play ( cc, weak early, mobility). But thats mean nothing . Unskilled mid laners will always cry when an assasin is viable and stong. Same happened with Fizz and Akali. They got nerfed because of the crying of trash players. The only problematic assasin is Zed because of his split push and free farm potential, but riot said he is healthy . Lots of player hate Katarina because they are bad and can't take advantage from her weaknesses.

If kat's seeing increased play its due to the mana regen nerfs, coupled with favorable matchups against the remaining mid-laners.

Also teams have been playing more all-in deathball compositions recently and she favors heavy skirmish and team fight comps.

Riot was looking into doing kit adjustments on her, we'll see what happens in the next month.

You're 100% correct. Kat' play style is annoying. And throw in people that don't have any idea how to fight her and end up feeding her, and well you see the point.
