can someone explain how ivern works?

so ive been playing again for a week or two now, and ivern has come out since i last played before that.

Im wondering how he's able to keep up in lvls/gold when he has to wait for each camp twice? Like i saw iwilldominate play him a few times and it looked like he visits each camp twice so his thing will charge up.

How can you manage to stay even when you have to be each camp twice even if you're instantly killing them

im considering buying him to play but i wanna lose 100 games to learn how to clear

The goal isn't about just waiting for camps to spawn. You want to take which buff you want first and TRY to do an early gank after you set down another camp setup. He is more of a "Lay a camp setup and go to lane", "Lay another camp setup and head back to the other ones you placed."

he counter jungles extremely well cause you can q into a camp passive it then smite, for your own jungle go buff you want to passive another camp then gank, your goal is to set down passive then gank lanes and collect your passives after you gank

You should remember that even when played well, he'll be behind in gold since he's a support jungler. He's weird to play anyways, so there's no guarantee you'll do well on him for the first few games.
