The patch rundown was an insult

I don't want to be unnecessarily harsh, but the patch rundown seemed disingenuous.

At patch 5.2, when DFG was removed, we were given several champions who would be compensated for its removal. They recognized it as being important to some champions playstyle and strengths so they promised to give them something else to help them.

Here we are at 5.4 when several of these champs are addressed, and they are actually nerfed. During the rundown, they spoke of all the thematical and practical reasons why the changes were made, but failed to answer why.

My question is, why were we told these champions would be getting compensated if instead more was taken from them? If morde and veigar weren't high win, pro picks before DFG, why are we nerfing them when we said we were buffing them? I expected Riot to give us a reason that after looking at the situation they could not follow through with their promises, but instead acted like these were just generic champion changes to help them thematically.

Why should we trust that Riot is going to come through on their word if they don't even provide an explanation when they don't?

This is an excellent point. I can honestly say i have no answer for it.

Did you really say that veigar was nerfed? Sure his stun takes SKILL to land now, but he can stack his q twice as fast, or stack and harass. So now you don't need to blow all your mana on his W just to get some damage off.
