Has anyone thought about trying Sterak's Gage with the Spellblade effects?

item 3053 (Sterak Gage) is an item that gives you additional Base Attack damage.

Spellblade effects are pretty much all quite similar, the effect being that you deal an empowered auto attack based on your Base Attack Damage, Trinity Force being the strongest scaling for base attack damage as its sitting at a whopping 200%

So by increasing your Base Auto Attack Damage with Sterak's Gage, then using Trinity Force, Runeglaive, etc etc, would you just being dealing out a bunch of poke damage with each proc?

Yeah it works. I like it on Irelia.

Yes. If you are just now figuring this out I can't imagine what it's like for the people I normally play with who probably don't read patch notes or even the tooltip numbers. Most people don't even know there's a difference when something scales with bonus AD versus total AD let alone base AD.

I believe that was intended?

It has great synergy with spellblade users, particulary bruisers.

It does increase the value of Triforce procs. Obviously, the list of champions for whom both Triforce and Sterak's are good options is pretty limited (Irelia, Gangplank, Udyr, Vi, some bruiser Jayce builds), but for those, it's really strong.
