Dynamic Q has a flaw: it encourages one-trick-playing:

It seems to happen more often this season. Getting players who only know how to play one champ on one role. It goes as far as they can't even play their secondary role, but instead ask for whoever has their primary to swap - and will probably feed if they can't swap.

Back in my day (oh man I sound like an old man) being good at ranked meant specializing in about two roles while at the same time, BEING ABLE TO PLAY EVERY OTHER ROLE AT LEAST SOMEWHAT DECENT. Sure, if it wasn't your main you wouldn't make any big dick plays, but you'd be able to perform on a basic level and keep feed to a minimum. Also, the need for that increased your knownledge of the game as you shifted perspective sometimes.

Right now it's more about spamming one currently strong champ and that champ alone - and with dynamic queue you can be sure that you get your role/position in comparison to old ranked. Sure, not having any quarrels about who goes where in champ select is surely nice, considering how toxic they can get, but like this people who clearly lack basic skills are allowed to climb - and that kind of disorts ranked. Ya know, back in the day I was kind of proud of having it made into Gold or Plat. But with the higher ranks being flooded by one-trick-players they kind of lose their value...

Hextech Crafting seems to do something against it, but that's a drop on the hot stone. Get an S on ONE champion once a week, then go back to playing whatever you were before. Not that an S is very hard. Get >300 CS, don't feed, and you might get one even if you lose (that happened to me once).

Dynamic queue is different from the new champ select.

  1. Dynamic queue: Lets you queue with up to five people to make a team

  2. New champ select: Is what lets you pick your roles.

So what if people want to play only one champion.... Especially in this stupid Dynamic Queue thing, its the perfect place for them, and for you who seems to hate them, Now you won't have to play with them when they don't get their role, So you basically get an extremely good player at a champion in ur team.

Until the 1 champ po y gets thier champ banned, or the person who was given thier main role does not wish to trade.

No not really. I OTP'd Jinx before DQ, and if I ever feel like climbing, I will do it again.

If you have been playing since like season 2 you would notice each year it gets more derp friendly yet people still complain about the same crap and think they are good when they are bad even with all this information out.

This year is the worst for being able to abuse the system. Remember when you had to time your own buffs, could solo carry a game, didnt have to play ranked 5's style in solo que, had to play every role decently or be well known, less one trick/one lane players that feed if they dont get the one role/champ. Pepridge farm remembers.

Yepp, started at the beginning of season 2. A lot has changed since then and some stuff I like. For example I have no problem with jungle timers - having to keep track of that was more of a chore than actual skill at some point.

But this direct encouraging to stick to just one champ/role is not acceptable...

Well it's 2 roles if you know how to count, not 1. And prior to the New Champ Select the average player mained 2.5 roles, so this actually hasn't changed anything except cut out the arguments for determining who goes where.
