Asides from maybe Tryndameres and Yasuos, I've never seen any champion attract so many people that AFK/rage.
GG bot fed first blood, GG no ganks in 3 minutes, GG Cho'Gath is on their team, GG I must build one defensive item, GG someone forgot to ward my brush (I wonder who), GG the enemy has 2 CS over me, GG they collected my 6 kill bounty. GG my Hearthstone enemy just abused my Millhouse Manastorm.
Literally anything not going according to plan can lead a Riven to be either toxic, AFK, or both.

- Abuse level 1 and get a significant HP advantage forcing her out of XP range.
- Stay back and poke with passive. Avoid getring hit by Q.
- Make her tilt.
- She starts trying to all-in with shield too, still don't get hit (don't try to kite, just run), then as she gives up and goes back hit her as the shield goes down. Possibly double proc passive with vault and blind prehemptively in case she managed to stun you on landing.
- She panicks, and starts to miscalculate her W range,
- At this point stop going out every time she threatens to Q you, and deny her the landing with vault. She won't usually have her W up to stop your vault midflight.
- Build tanky to consolidate the lead and proceed to outduel her at any point of the game.
Picking Quinn against Riven is risky. If her jungler helps her out or she does manage to get a lead, you can forget about points #1, #3, and #5. Once she gets a hydra, she'll lifesteal/shield enough that any engage on her would be risky. Lulu is a top lane pick that should never allow Riven to snowball.

Ok but let's not be ridicolous. If you are a tank there's nothing she can do. If you are anything else, play safe, ask for ganks, and pray she's a bad riven. i know good rivens are really annoying to play against and they won't even let you farm, but that's it, nothing much we can do about it
ps: remember that if the riven uses three skills only to get you, it's time to trade back

"riven is disabled temporarily" Has brought out nothing but the bronzest Diamond players. Who are mostly Gold or Silver if you look them up. Maybe they were higher elo a few years ago. Which at that elo, most Rivens are either trash, or Smurf. So GG Sucks to suck

Counterplay and Counterpick is too hard a concept for people. Instead they rush to the forums to complain about champions mechanics and the "skill" in their opinion, it doesn't take to play the champion.

He doesnt even play ranked, which means he is Blind picking Yasuo into Riven at a Bronze level. Most the community might be as bronze as him and upvote, But thankfully Riot has the sense to see the Counterplay, Counterpick and balance in mechanics.

There will always be counters to champions via Champ Select, but you have to take into consideration your teammates as well as the enemy teammates. Like, say, you see a Lux mid on the enemy team, but you also see a Lissandra top and Blitzcrank bot, so you're not going to go Katarina, one of the biggest Lux counters. No, you're going to go some one safe. Just like if you see your team having an AD top and jungle and you being against a Veigar, you want to counterpick with Talon or Zed, but then you compromise your team's composition. Counterpicking will always exist and Riot won't ever remove it. People can lane swap to remove lane counters, but in a team fight, a counter is a counter and you better hope and pray some one on the enemy team didn't counter pick you when you counter picked their teammate. lol.
