this build is so fuckin dumb lol
and situational 6th
be unkillable, immune to poke, and also provide ridiculous safety to your team from any assassins, and you guys are concerned about lethality meta. LOL, tanks are too weak boys am i right

Looks pretty easy to kill anyone with that build, tbh.
very little in the way of armor/mr or HP.
No randuins; so nothing to stop armor shred from crits;
Any DPS champ would be happy for a draintank battery like that.
Uhh?
+1350 HP -> Literally doubles your HP pool if you activate stoneplate when the passive is up +100 Armor/MR -> Increases to 140 when passive on stoneplate activates
If it isn't clear why this is strong, I'll put 2 + 2 together for you. So long as you don't completely fail your job as a tank (not being surrounded by the majority of the enemy team in a teamfight), you have ~6k HP, which gives locket ~2000 shields for your team. That literally doubles a squishies healthbar. It doesn't just make you hard to kill, it makes all of your team hard to kill.
TANK MAINS DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE THE TRUTH
Everyone on the boards whines and complains about the ADC mains complaining and ruining league but never have I seen any "pro" ADC discussion reach the board's front.
That's because of bias towards ADCs on the boards. Every other class seems to target them first.
On Reddit you'll find much more ADC pro discussions with the absence of most other classes.
"ADC in 2K17 lol"

No, you don't. Most of Reddit is Esports related. Any balance discussion is literally 100% random. Just the other day did a video talking about Garen buffs hit the front.
In my experience their balance arguments usually default to ADCs. But that's probably because "ADC in 2K17" was such a big fucking meme that it stuck.
Reddit has too much esports.
what are you talking about big link?
tanks are weak and need buffs obviously
Can't tell if you're joking or not.
please buff tanks
pleAsE bUfF taNkS
see? even big link understood that tanks need buffs
Tanks have always ruled the game, most ppl just find them lame to play. The lethaliy problem is about instakills it's no fun and interactive to play an adc or squishy support. One day that will be the main build for adc mark my words :D
If ADC's and squishy supports would learn to build a single armor item they would both survive the burst from lethality. They both have
. ADC's have
and squishy supports have many different items that provide armor to chose from

's gotta build her rabadon though dog
If she builds her rabadon against an assassin then she deserves to get one shot so hard that she doesn't respawn.
You misunderstand, with that much AP, Sona IS the Assassin!
No need to worry about being oneshot when you are doing the oneshotting :^)
Until the real assassin builds
and doesn't die in one hit but you do because you lack comparable items.
Her heal/barrier scales with AP too.
And it´s barely has a CD at some point-
And she can get ninja tabi and zhonya too :)
Neither Side dies in the first round then Sona wins because she has like 2 second CD on her entire rotation except ulti that has like 40-50 at that stage.
Build Iceborn Sona, laugh at pitiful attempts to conquer your glorious reign of terror. You may be sacrificing immediate power, but you're obv building Tear at that point so it's fine. You'll need gloves to keep all that style in check, anyway.
I actually did this as a support because my team was lacking the abiltiy to properly kite a darius sometime ago, he got super frustrated because i kept slowing him constantly xD
It's a solid choice when you need armor but can't really give into a raw defense build. Of course, most Sheen candidates have better choices these days.
lol but people argue items arent coutner play and lethality isnt balanced
Items aren't counterplay their counterbuild.
but arent you doing it while playing the game?
and you use it to counter your enemy?
hence counter play?
Counterplay is something you as a champion can do, for instance teemo blinding nasus q. Or dodging. Or for a different kind of example with kled, if you see him use W (his passive, that he cant control) thats a good time to fight him. Counterbuild is items.
"Counterplay" is a created buzzword like "Toxic" or "Game flow" which means whatever riot needs it to mean to spin whatever they need to.
Counterbuild is counterplay within the game itself. You generally counterthings you can not influence through mechanics "Adc auto attack damage, point and click nuke/cc" by item building.
People get so hung up on nitpicking terminology that they lose track of the original gripe, which is exactly what a company like riot wants the community doing, else we might take a look at the quality and quantify of content they're currently putting out compared to something like, say, Dota, and wonder why exactly we continue to give them money to send to china.
I'll build both Tabi and GA and still die to lethality burst. It helps but it doesn't make me immune.

just "outplayed" your ADC
"xDDD an assassin can't kill a tank! I guess those videos of Riven's killing people in 2 hits are just memes! MUH TANK META!!!!! xDDDD"

nice refutation, really made me think
Really activates the brain almonds, doesn't it :^)
Not a great build, tbh.
The only benefit of this build is the ability to "super locket" your entire team, but that's not worth it. No matter how big the shield is, it wears off fast and decays faster. If the enemy team isn't dumb enough to dump all their ults into your shield, the best case scenario is blocking the damage from their primary engage or forcing a momentary retreat.
A variant of this build is good on ARAM, and it's not terrible on rift. That said, going so far as to call it OP is just asinine.
Lethality isn't for gooning tanks, you itemize it against squishies to bring their armor value as close to 0 as possible.
Stoneplate + Locket is just stupid. Not a fan of everyone on the enemy team having 5 million health shields
What is the point of being so tanky if your team is trash. Stop pretending like tanks are broken, they are just fucking tanky which is what they are supposed to be doing. As for the locket, blame RITO for overbuffing support itemization....
yeah, all their high winrates that don't drop even while their play rate rises. they're not a problem at all right now
Well surprise surprise most tanks are easy to play, especially old ones like Cho, Rammus, Malphite and Nunu. And their playrates are pathetic when compared to typical cancers like Riven, Lee, Thresh or Yasuo so its not like everyone is abusing them. Nerf the fucking locket and see their winrate drop very easily. You cant carry the fucking game with a tank and a build like that, you can only shield your team and tank to death, its not a problematic build.
Wow you won 2 games with a nice score, good for you.
Tanks are actually back in the meta imo, now that thornmail gives grievious wounds, and because they naturally counter the lethality meta.
I like how meta shifts are actually just about people forgetting about certain champions then being reminded when they get wrecked, so they will pick that champion instead until they get wrecked by something diffrent they also forgot.... and so on.
You couldn't possibly expect, that in an environment, where everyone rushes duskbalde and stacks lethality for the lulz, tanks would soon start to rise, could you?
you're right, this is definitely from the perspective of a guy who's "getting wrecked" by tanks and not playing them.

Lethality has nothing to do with it, rofl. Tanks are busted and have been busted; league monkeys are just distracted by getting deleted as full squish builds
Lethality has a ton to do with it.
Armor is a good counter to lethality and currently a lot of champions buy lethality instead of proper DPS (you can see adcs building it instead of crit+%apen), hence it makes tanks stronger.
And there's even another reason to why lethality makes tanks stronger - good lethality = good assassins. Good assassins = dead adcs (especially ones with proper DPS builds). And dead adcs means that there's no one to kill tanks.
Last but not least - strong lethality translates into more AD champions on the rift, and to them being stronger than AP ones - that means tanks can usually stack armor to their heart content (and then even ADCs will need some time to kill them).
Also, mind you that I don't play tanks at all.
Youre starting to become one of my favorite people here. wtf
i'm glad i have your blessing papa fuffy
Throw in a knights vow to make your adc tankier while they also heal you. Support itemization LOL http://i.imgur.com/6CbxaPc.jpg
