If you had to play one champion for the entirety of your League life, which will it be?

WinBoat··4 votes·1,445 views

So, if you could only play one champion forever and be stuck with it, which would it be? For me, it would have to be Ekko. He was the first champion I bought on my other account, my first login screen, I love the theme, the voice acting, reminds me of Kingdom Hearts (would love a keyblade skin some day). I love his kit, he can potentially duel with anyone,

So I've got around 40+ champions, 30+ of them actually being Mastered level 5 which is insane, Ekko would be my champion I'd go for if I was stuck to play only one.

Which would you only play?

I wouldn't take that deal at all, playing only one champion for the rest of my league life would kill my enjoyment of this game after a while, plus there's always the chance it gets banned, then what do I do?

This. You could support/fill soraka, but once every 100 or 200 games, you will wind up as the jungler.

If I could only play one champ, I would've been FORCED to quit this game long ago. That champ got removed from League all the way back in Patch 4.13 and still hasn't been re-added since.

I do like me some Voli. Secret OP as shit, especially jungle.

PFft, you want Ekko since he is TOTALLY not OP. Its hard to believe anyone plays him other than he is OP

Or he is a lot of fun to play? When he isn't OP, you have to think in advance and keep an eye on your time ghost clone.

My choice would probably be Anivia. She's always been good mid lane, and I could learn to do a weird support build as her.

I been playing him since day 1 since I started League, he was my login screen. So I've played him before the "Ekko is OP" hate threads. Gotta love how LCS can have a bunch of sheep picking that champion cause no one was playing him for the longest time, yet he was still good when played right just like all the other champions.

125k on this account, and about 80k on the original account. So I played him before he became this popular as he is now. I love the whole look, and animations. So you can think whatever you want good sir! I can also play and rack up 13+ kills about with any champion I touch, so being "op" doesn't matter to me much since I got many champions, and mastered them all to 5. I guess Eve is OP too, I get 15 kills with her often, and so on.

Braum, Gragas, and Udyr would be a possibility. I honestly couldn't decide I would have to draw names from a hat to decide.

Although I'm trash with him I would probably have to say LeeSin Because I can play 4 roles with him and do them all well as long as I get good with him

I think I agree here. I mean Ekko is fine, but LeeSin is better even though Ekko has a higher win rate. Ekko's kit is diverse and complicated, but Lee Sin is simple, yet diverse. Overall, I give the higher fun factor to Lee Sin despite his poor win rate.

I'd go for Ahri, my first love in the game and the only one I terribly miss when can't play for a while. She's even very versatile so the gameplay can vary a lot.

Gnar...fairly versatile, can go damage or tank, can have an emphasis on effectiveness as mini Gnar (Rageblade hurricane) or effectiveness as mega Gnar (tank for days)...can do some fun off meta builds utilizing the %health magic damage in mini gnar not to mention you can't help but have fun playing as Gnar

A close second would be Kennen tho, similar reasons as Gnar for versatility and fun factor.

A close second for me could be Yasuo just cause I love the highnoon theme a lot. I'm not that good with Yasuo tho although I have some break out games with him.

Soraka definitely, for whatever i do whatever I try I always gravitate back ton her, she is my best Support, my best Mid, my best Top and heck even my best Jungle. (that Banana is horribly difficult to last hit with though, so no adc for now)

Gragas has become a fast favorite of mine over the past week or so. He's incredibly versatile, works wonderfully in top lane, and can really impact a game through jungle. Mage Gragas mid is questionable, but I can work with it if I have to.

Sejuani would be an easy alternate. I'm not sure about her lane viability, but she's very strong and has potential for significant damage if the enemy tries to fight through her W.

Volibear is another excellent pick and would likely be my ultimate choice. Super strong top lane, good jungle clears, and potentially strong support against melee range opponent supports.

Probably Old Karma or Lissandra.

For some reason I tend to like short ranged mages.

Morde, Udyr, Jax, Eve, Ryze, Taric, or Shaco.

Each has so many buildpaths that I would never get bored, so any of them would work.

Sejuani Sejuani .

And I already do it.

What if you can't think of only one?

I mean since I rarely top, there's only one champ I'd pick for that role, but considering how the game forces you to choose two roles, the champ I'd pick for top is someone I wouldn't support or ADC on. There's 2 champs I'd pick for support and then another 2 for jungle but I can't narrow those down to one.

Junglers are particularly screwed by this question because depending on where they pick and what their team needs are, it's unlikely there's just a single champ they can use. If a support player mains annie or janna, that's not a problem. But a jungler needs access to CC, AP, AD, tank, initiation, and carry potential all based on what his teammates are doing.

Well if you had asked me a few days ago, probably Viktor, but I guess I'll have to find a new one now.

Azir I'm not good with him nor do I play him but if I did for a long long time I think the payoff would be quite large.

Kog'Maw. I just love how adorable he is, and the games where ur team protects you so hard and you penta is such an amazing experience(unlike vayne who can do it herself)

Beldair1 votes

So hard to choose just 1.

Since i have my favorites for each role.

Top- Renekton, Ryze, Yorick, J4

Mid- Anivia, Azir, Kassadin

Jungle- Hecarim, Sejuani, Eve, Gangplank, Mordekaiser

ADC- Kindred, Sivir, Ashe

Support- Braum, Bard, Gragas, Lux, Kayle, Thresh, Anivia, Zyra, Zilean

I also really like Aurelion Sol but only played him mid (did ok) and jungle (failed there) but am thinking of giving Sol support a try.

I want to say Illaoi because she's so stable compared to the performance of other champions, but she doesn't have any AP ratios and is really a one trick pony. So maybe Bard? He can build everything and be successful.

Malzahar, cant get enough of him, hope he is still as enjoyable after the rework in mid(ap all the way), otherwise ill cry :(
