One of my worst experiences playing an off-meta pick
So, I've always really liked Sejuani mid (in normals!) because she feels so damn strong in late-game, I've even gotten multiple multi-kills with an amazing ulti burst. The responses from my team tend to vary, but usually they end up positive after I get a few kills and instaburst carries in late-game.
Some people, however, just won't accept that in the right hands, an off-meta pick can be just as good as a meta pick, which is saddening, to say the least.
I'm here to share one of my bad experiences. The game started off pretty badly, I was up against a poke matchup which is difficult for Sejuani, and my jungler decided that I'm a 'troll' so I deserve no ganks in a lane which is constantly getting pushed into my turret (free ganks!). Then, the kills started coming in for the enemy laner. I ended up against a Gangplank, which is basically one of the unluckiest matchups I could've gotten in. My cs lead started depleting as I got zoned off by his barrels, and he got a few solo kills, and then the flame started. I get that I'm doing badly, but actually blaming the pick after intentionally sabotaging the lane? That makes me mad.
tl;dr we lost after both our jungler and our botlaner blamed it on me after deciding I was a troll and giving up all hope on me. tl;dr 2 off-meta picks can work too, I got carried by a triforce Katarina top once.
