If the grasp nerf goes through

It doesnt affect me as much as a Darius because of how my passive works (prolonging battles even if I'm not constantly hitting the other guy), but I can really see this hurting other top laners.

I see this as a nerf to essentially every melee laner than can't deal damage over time without corrupting potion. Maybe we'll see, but I personally hope it doesn't go through, even though I only play Darius and not much else.

I'm prepared to switch back to Thunderlord 24/7 again.

I think a lot of people are going to do this. The whole point of grasp is to bolster early game sustain in lane, it's by no means a late game powerhouse like the strength of ages or fervor of battle. A lot of champions are pretty dependent on this, especially in unfavorable matchups for the possibility to sustain better when they get all ined or comboed on. It provides an interesting mechanic. But with the nerf, lane bullies can come in, use their full combo, and without a doubt probably be backing off in less than 4 seconds.

Grasp is a little overtuned at the moment though. Balance is by no means easy.

Tanks are broken right now, this nerf and plenty others are needed.

Items need to be nerfed before anything else. Plus base values on assassins that are exploiting bruiser items. It really sucks that this is being used on champions it was never intended to be used on.

Though it's not really going to affect laning if used properly.
