Honor progress bar?

Just wondering why there isn't one? It'd be nice to see my progress towards the next level as a sort of visual incentive and reinforcement that my behavior is, in fact, honorable.

They don't want it to be a grind as it would seem with a visible one, but also rioters have mentioned that it's hooked up to their player behaviour systems (which are like basically magic machine learning things), so it wouldn't lend itself to a simple 'progress bar' kind of thing anyway.

in its current state it seems pretty random. I'll level up when I think I've been recently toxic and I'll lose honor when I know I haven't done anything toxic recently. I'm not really sure how it works. I'm neither the most toxic or the most honorable player I know, so I pretty much just stay at level 2 or level 3 all the time.

I feel like it'd encourage me to be nicer if I could see that my honor was rising. I also feel like it tilts me sometimes when my honor drops and I haven't been an ass recently.

Your honor can't drop unless you're actually punished for something, so you don't have to be anything special to climb honour levels, just need to behave yourself enough to not get chat restricted (or worse) which is a pretty low bar.

That's just blatantly false. I haven't gotten chat restricted or banned or anything on this account in probably over a year. At the very least, I haven't been punished for anything since honor came out. Yet my honor fluctuates. So wherever you got that information is either A.) Your own anus -or- B.) incorrect.

Or C, something isn't working as intended.

How do I drop a level in Honor?

You’ll only drop if you receive a penalty. A chat restriction knocks your Honor level to 1, or 0 if you’re already at level 1. A two week suspension will drop your level to 0 (even if you were higher). In both cases, your honor progress will be locked, making your account ineligible for hextech crafting rewards. Your honor progress will unlock some time after your restriction as long as you show signs of reform.

Nope. There’s no decay on Honor levels. The only way you lose levels is through a penalty or through the seasonal reset.
