@riot: please give us 10 bans before you release the new champions

because we will have to waste two bans at their release insead of one to prevent our teammates from picking them.

or we could stop pretending that people picking newly released or reworked champs in ranked games without even watching their fucking spotlights isnt an issue. go back and check your data when it comes to champion bans over the past years.

new and reworked champions are are always showing high ban rates, because people clearly dont want to see some smartass experimenting in their games.

this time its going to be even worse, since there is a high likelyhood of two people feeding the shit out of their asses instead of one.

and dont bullshit me with phrases like "some people manage to do immediately well with those champions". we all know, these cases are the rare EXCEPTION and not the rule.

Then go ahead and waste the bans if you think they are gonna be such a problem.

10 bans won't be released like this as they have to do a massive amount of testing. The current 10 ban set up isn't the same one that we will be getting, as all that's done is the LCS version.

they will be. they always are.

when galio was released, ive had a dude in a game who picked him when he wasnt banned. you know what happened? we lost the game because he misplayed with the phrase "oh, galio cant dash over walls".

which hed have known if he had played him at least once before or even watched his goddamn spotlight, as it was directly mentioned.

like people cant be bothered to at least invest 5 minutes to watch a fucking video. and its going to happen with these new champions aswell. youll have people going into games with them without knowing what the fuck their kits are.

shit like this isnt a rare occurance, which is why people always ban new champions at their release. its just mandatory at this point. but at the same time a waste, since there are usually other important bans.

10 bans won't happen until some time after they close the legacy client.

As much as I would like to see new champions disabled for a patch following release, Riot wants to gather data on them to see what changes need to be made. Their best data comes from ranked games. For that reason they'll never disable new champions.
