People need to stop trying to spread false info about darius and SRS

SRS was not the premier choice for darius. It was viable for certain palystyles and against certain comps, but its pick rate never exceeded 10% among darius players in plat+.

Fervor was picked in over 80% of cases where darius was played in plat+ ever since courage got its nerf, and before there was fervor, there was courage, and before courage, there was grasp.

Ever since the introduction of keystones, these were the most popular keystones on darius players in plat+ in order from oldest meta to newest meta:

#1 grasp #2 courage #3 fervor #4 there is no great thing on darius in preseason, and that's part of why he sucks ass right now. Ideally he should be back on grasp since he was great with it before, but when he was great with grasps, a ton of nerfs hadn't gone through. Nowadays we have a darius that is much weaker than when in his old grasp heyday

SRS was always a niche pick, and while it could work well and certain high elo darius mains stuck by it faithfully, it was by far not the premier choice among the VAST MAJORITY of high elo darius mains.

Thats why when fervor was removed his winrate dropped so drastically. If fervor stayed and SRS went on the chopping block darius wouldn't be in the position he is in now.

Specifically which ones are you calling out as overpowered? I can make the same claim about some other class that I don't like but it doesn't mean that all champs in that class deserve to be dumpstered.

I can understand that. Those two are pretty good at chaining skills together to make it hard to do much of anything after an engage. But honestly, if the support can't do their job of keeping people alive, wouldn't that mean that they are in a poor state of balance? (I'm not saying they can't do that now, but theoretically speaking)

If a support invalidates almost all damage that isn't coming out of ADCs with Locket/Redemption, it's a sign supports might be broken.

invalidated? hardly. in theory grievous wounds in combination with the dmg return sounds nice, but in practise it barely does anything. They made thornmail incredible bad at doing it's job.

Why is press the attack not good on him? I would think AA, W, AA would be good.

It doesn't increase the damage of his ult because true damage can't be reduced or raised.

I'm pretty sure it can't as well, without increasing the values that directly change the number itself (such as by buying more AD to increase Fiora's passive's damage, or by multiplying the damage before the resistances stage (as opposed to during).

It can't be raised. True damage will always do the amount of damage the tooltip says it will. It's one of the reasons Rek'Sai mains are mixed about Press the Attack, the bite doesn't care.

It doesn't fix his kitability, relies on you getting in melee range for aa W aa (which means you have to engage with E in most cases, which is a bad idea), and, when you do land it, what will you be amplifying? Bleed stacks and maybe a Q. That's not really worth the tradeoff.

The reason that Darius can't take phase rush is because he cant always stick around to land 3 autos for the MS increase. Sure, he has aa -> w -> aa, but old SRS proc'd off of damage, so Q added to it.

It's not just fervor. Darius had a really mixed runepage, combining atk speed, AD, and defences; that flexibility isn't accessible with the current runes.

Also, some nerfs, buffs and meta changes have happened over time which have led to him(and other juggernauts) declining in performance for a while.

while garen hides in bush until he's regained 100% hp and proceeds to Q you, W, E for 800 dmg, and ult. Most simple juggernaut kit in league gets better outcomes than a high skill juggernaut with an optimum build and runes

I don't get why his passive and ult damage weren't buffed since they scale both with bonus AD and they buffed almost every spell that scales off of it.

Nah it's fine. I cant even burst the enemy 0-5 adc with a full combo atm. I just need 3 items to be relevant when adcs need a bf and a zeal item.

You forgot, adcs can do Darius levels damage with a support on them, half the items, and the innate range safety all mage/adc players enjoy but won’t admit that it matters

I Thought that Press the attack could be viable but I don't know, Grasp seems to be the goto rune for juggs that can't use any of the keystones well.

Personally been liking aftershock's increase of resistances in order to have time to stack passive, but it just isn't good for low hp clutch moments like courage was. It's solely an engage tool for stacking unlike courage which allowed darius to even get clutch stacking moments off OR engage with it to build stacks.

I use grasp as if I'm compensating, for example instead of deadmans, black cleaver, randuins(Not in order), I get thornmail, triforce, righteous glory and my whole focus with the rune is getting 325 health to compensate the health difference. Only thing I wish is that they'd buff grasp from 5 hp per use to 10 hp per use and fixed some bugs like it occasionally not proc'ing.

Also one other problem people are going overgrowth instead of second wind, when second wind is actually superior by a large margin. Overgrowth is literally only good late game and even then you would have gained far more value out of second wind still.

Personally I have always been a Grasp man myself. Grasp has always been my favourite mastery for laning and with the new buffed version of it I am so down.

I think only options he has now is grasp or phase rush. Grasp for overall lane safety and dominance. Phase rush on the other hand feels incredibly nice once laning phase is over ,since Darius can.easily proc it in teamfighs.
