Olaf?

So an olaf destroyed me in lane ( i was riven so it kinda makes sense since im heavily cc reliant) and i farmed and we made a comeback but that was mainly due to him making mistakes commonly prevalent in bronze 5 (greed, no farming, getting cocky, etc.) but i just realized he's almost unbeatable in lane, even by a lane bully such as riven. So i tried the classic "try him out to find out his weaknesses" and so I did. legendary 17/2. cc can't shut me down and my healing from w and items was just too much. resistances? nah my e is true damage. run? nah movespeed from ult plus phage and q. is there any counter to olaf?

not much in lane. if you play it properly, you can farm relatively free against him but you cant win. olafs weakness is that he cant force anything and has low utility and mobility. also, since he has no real burst, he is kinda bad at towerdiving and poking under tower, so he also has trouble splitpushing more than other champions.

in the end, his strength of being the strongest stand-and-fight champion in the game gets compensated by the fact that other than stand-and-fight, he doesnt offe rmuch. if you disrespect that, he will win.

Dr. Mundo can be quite a problem in lane simply because he is able to regen the damage you do from going up and using your true damage or using the axes. The same problem comes up with Garen, especially with his silence if you cant queue your abilities before he hits you with the q. Honestly a smart Olaf nearly never loses lane, but it is easy to lose lane if you have a bad dive or a missplay.

First off, the q axe eatsssss your mana right up early, and you need to play conservativly to play him properly, or you're in for trouble. Before the preseason, Olaf could easily fall off hard if behind. His potential is early and late, Although, with the buffs to LS this preseason, my Olaf top and jungle carries super hard.

To counter, you kite him. If Olaf can't reach you, he's screwed. I have trouble against Mundo, Jax, a fed Vayne, Tristana, and Kalista as Olaf.

Olaf has ranged-passthrough harass and built in sustain o.o ofcourse hes good against riven. All he has to do is land a few axes and bully you out of lane.
