Please add option "no autofill"

I didn't ask for that. I was pretty ok with 10 mins queues. If I need to play right now then I'll pick support or fill role myself, I don't need your system to do that.

My brother tried to play mid-top, both times game gave him support position. He wanted to play Swain, he didn't want to play support. He didn't ask for faster queue.

Pls add option for players who do not want to be "autofilled". Guys are you for real? Can't start survey and ask player before implementing such crushing feature?

Upd: keep downvoting! Wish you support roles non-stop.

If there was this option in ranked without any other downside than having to wait longer, everyone would pick no autofill because it would give you a competitive advantage. If you want a no auto fill button it would have to give you certain disadvantage like facing higher MMR opponents since you're guaranteed to get one of your 2 roles and they are not.

What the point of whole system of picking roles, if our picks will be ignored? Previously (S5 and etc) when I wasn't able to pick position, I could ask for my best role. Now I won't be able to do that, because everyone except me picked their fav position, and noone will go support (did someone pick support, but system made him to play toplane? bs! it will never happens.). Means it's better to not choose role at all than use that "autofill". Imho this will ruin ranked. Nobody likes random in rankeds.

You will have a greater chance to get your prefered roles. If your prefered roles are mid and top, then that's a pity because those are the most contested ones. An important skill in soloQ is to be able to adapt and play multiple roles. This was a core skill throughout season 1 to 5 but got removed in season 6. Now it's bad and I am glad it is. One tricks got an extremely easy time getting their prefered role almost everytime just by waiting a lot longer. In the old system you could ask your role, but occasionally there would still be conflict between two players maining the same role. If the current matchmaking places you two together, then the old matchmaking definitely would. Aside from that, it's still worth asking to swap lanes. While chances are low, they do exist and if you perform that much better at your role then try it.

I'm playing since S2, I was maining every role in game even support. I had 75% winrate on old Taric. I even wrote couple guides how to play botlane, so I'm talking because I know how it was to play every role, and you don't need to tell me. Even now I can play any role, but I don't want it. I have couple stronger picks and I got no wish to risk and play role/champions that I'm not sure it, even while I can do it pretty good. It's ranked. Ranked. It's a blood and salt, nobody want to risk there. If autofill will be implemented there, it will be done. As I said before chances to swap from supp to any other role will be close to 0, because otherwise this problem couldn't exist - we would have as much supps as we want. I'm not winning every game on My champion on My best position, why do you think I will win on support position? Or ADC? I was playing it for year. Year of only ADC playing, and I understood that I'm very very bad ADC. ADC role in ranked will mean for me autolose and autolose for everyone else in my team.

Remember that your opponents will have an equal chance at getting autofill. If you're decent with every role, it's an advantage for you to have this. Also, if you can swap roles for your teammates when they ask for it, it can be huge. Riot thought that they could give everyone the choice out of 2 roles without significantly increasing queue time. And they were wrong. So hence auto fill. The only way auto fill works is when everyone (or most of the players) participates in it, otherwise it would just be like fill which is something no one really picks above gold. Your autofill doesn't only make your queue time shorter. It makes queue time shorter for everyone. 10 players will benefit per autofill. Yes, it's an additional luck factor but it's once again one that should even out in the long run (or atleast make your performances more similar to the other seasons).

Nobody needs luck. If I have 52% winrate and need about 300 games to reach plat. With one more luck element my winrate can fall to 51 or even 50%. This means bye bye plat.
