Rengar Re-Imagined Ability Kit

DISCLAIMER: Not an official rework of any kind by Riot Games, this is just a fun little fan project, so do not get upset or angry about anything. This is taking the cool theme of Rengar and creating something else for his abilities, if there is something you like and do not like then accurately say what it is and help improve the post with proper feedback, there is an edit function for a reason!

Basic Attack Range: 125 units Movement: 345 units per second

Blood Vision (Passive): When Rengar basic attacks an enemy he gets blood in his eyes for 1.5 seconds, blinding himself, only able to see around the target he attacked, and his abilities deal 30 - 150 (+80%bAD)(+60%AP) magic damage over 2 seconds as a bleed. Bleed damage is increased by 50% against targets below 40% health.

Rengar heals for 100% of the bleed's damage dealt, 20% against non-epic monsters and non-champions.

Ugly Cut (Q): Cooldown: 4 seconds; Range: 300 units / 180 degrees Rengar immobilizes himself for 1.5 seconds and slices his blades in the target direction for the duration, dealing 120/180/240/300/360(+150%bAD) physical damage over the duration. If a struck enemy was already bleeding then Ugly Cut's cooldown is halved.

Battle Roar (W): Cooldown: 24/21/18/15/12 seconds; Range: 400 units Rengar does a mighty roar around him, blocking enemy projectiles, blocking basic attacks, and fearing nearby enemies for 1.25 seconds. If enemies were already bleeding then they are feared for 2.5 seconds.

Bola Strike (E): Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds; Range: 1200 units Rengar unleashes a bola in the target direction, slowing the first enemy struck by 35/40/45/50/55% for 2 seconds. If the target was already bleeding then Bola Strike's cooldown is refunded.

Known Predator (R): Cooldown: 120/90/60 seconds; Leap Range: 750 units Passive: Rengar can leap to an enemy from brush for his next basic attack, he can do this once every 4/2.75/1.5 seconds.

Active: Rengar turns invisible for 7/8/9 seconds, if Rengar is within 1500/1200/900 units of an enemy champion then he becomes visible and is automatically locked in to run towards and leap on to that target. Rengar gains 75% bonus movement speed for 7/8/9 seconds until he leaps.

Rengar's basic attack from Known Predator deals 20/35/50(+100%AD)(+100%AP) true damage and shreds 20/30/40 armour for 2 seconds. Every unique enemy champion takedown Rengar has increases this attack's damage by an additional 5/10/15(+15%AD)(+10%AP) true damage.

1st problem with this is Kha Zix ripped out one of Rengars eyes so he would be blind if he got more blood in his eyes.

Well, he literally blinds himself and tunnel visions on a target with limited vision, so yea he is basically smelling blood at that point rather than using his brain and eyes.

The idea I was going with here was making a killer that leads to very gruesome, ugly kills and does not have very good ways of escaping afterwards. So he has the assassin element of wanting to jump in and kill his target, but not an assassin where he does it the opposite of a clean kill (this conveniently allows for proper counter play, something current Rengar massively lacks) and instead blood flings everywhere and it is a super ugly kill, but still a kill non-the-less.

I see Rengar has more of a goofy killer, where everyone can see him coming a mile away, and yet like a lion after his prey you are eventually going to be caught up to, and his kills are just painful as he rips you to shreds from piece to piece. It creates a lot more interesting of a character in game than someone that jumps on you, pushes all the buttons, and tries to go for the one-shot - wanted something that creates thought process and skill expression. And make him being a resourceless champion have a hidden resource where there are trade-offs instead like he has control over his ultimate, but not full control - he roots himself for awhile whenever he uses his Q - or he blinds himself and grants himself limited vision for all of his abilities to deal damage / deal bonus damage over time as a magic damage bleed and gain healing from it. ~ The other trade-off is changing his empowered abilities from first ability is empowered to choosing which ability you want to sacrifice to NOT being empowered. Q you can chain more Qs together (great if you have allies with CC), W gets the double fear duration, and E gets perma slows if you keep landing the bola strikes against bleeding enemies - all powerful effects and you need to choose one that is not empowered for your all-in.

The only thing that I would want to keep the same, is his current passive. It's just what makes Rengo, Rengo, I know yoy switched it to his ult which isn't bad but ganking would be so much worse if he had something else other than his leap as a passive since level 1.

Not gonna lie the passive bonuses to the abilities are a bit too strong in my opinion, a enhanced W fear lasting 2.5 seconds (not to mention that it blocks projectiles and basic attacks as a basic W).

The block is a split second timing thing, but using it that way means your fear goes on cooldown which is pretty long and allows for his entire Q to land. The passive is being balanced through the debuffs, the fear duration is being balanced with the fact that Rengar is blinded, Q is balanced through the self root so you can walk away if Rengar did not prep his kill with crowd control (the self-root also makes it not a mindless skill to use, since he uses it poorly then it does nothing AND could get him killed since he cannot move).

Note the enhanced effects this time is applying debuffs to Rengar, and then land an ability on your target, and then you can get the enhanced effect - A lot more counterplay, especially since all of the abilities are technically skill shots, even though E is the only true skill shot to completely dodge.

kinda busted, but could be fun lol

It is not like he is balanced now, but I feel this has more counter play for the opponent and makes a lot more of an uniqueness.

the current rengar is terrible, and unvaiable, the old rengar Q was 200000x better than the current one

The rework Rengar Q is way more interesting, but just in animation and did do anything different in function, at least my Q might also be damage focused, but it actually is significantly different to how the damage is applied and there is a way to avoid all of the damage.
